So it's probably been a year or more since I've actually worked on any animations, so I decided to get back into it with something simple. This time you get the pleasure of having two angles as opposed to the usual one, however I didnt feel like doing any editing so I uploaded them separately.  :P   Here's hoping I can get back into doing these more often, as there's much more potential here now that I know a bit more about how this software works. Anyways I hope you guys enjoy this.

EDIT: I couldn't stand leaving it as is and modified it a little to put more emphasis on the sneeze.

@Heathen

That is cool! I've wanted to learn some blender work as well, but it feels so overwhelming to deal with, so i'm pretty scared to even start!
But that animation looks surprisingly smooth, i didnt expect it to be able to work so well! How long did it take to make it?

Ah I'm not actually sure how long it took, as I worked on this over the course of a few days, doing a little bit each time I loaded it up. I want to say a few hours? Not long at all in the grand scheme of things with animation. Especially with something very basic like this.  :P

Wow, I didn't see this until now!  Very nice job I think.  I think you certainly have the basics (and more) down pat with this one.  Nice job.

Very cool!  Is he an otter?  I really like the movement to put his finger up to his nose before he sneezes.  <<<V>>>

So talented to be able to animate!  Good stuff! Good to see you back too, it's been a long time.

I like how everyone is four days late to seeing this post. ;D  I think I know why it went under the radar.  According the time stamp, it released at 2:05am in the morning for the majority of people on this site.  For people on the east coast it was 5:05am.  So by the time people actually got online, later in the day, other posts were posted in and people didn't see it, especially if they just follow an RSS feed. So that is my hypothesis.

Now for the animation.  Impressive.  I always find animation interesting to look at.  The choices the animator has to make and then follow through with their work.  Very nicely don't and well timed.  I do think the slight more emphasis was a good choice.  Even still, to show more "force" might be good.  When animated or drawing, I always remember the rule to "over emotionalize" what you are doing.  As humans, we can see expressions on people.  But in a cartoon or animation, the artist has to portray that motion in a way that is both human and stylized.  For example a happy cartoon is far more facially expressive than a mad person.  So a sneeze that is being animated should show 100% it is a sneeze, even without sound.  It needs to be known by anyone watching it to understand that. You have a lot of good visual cues, though the release could still look a little more visceral maybe?  Maybe?

Yeah, totally didn't see this either.  My bad.  Because it deserved to get feedback right away!  Very good quality.  I liked the originals as well as the modified newer one you did.

Oh! Nice job on the animation.  That must take a lot of time.  I'm trying to imagine how I would do this.  Like which ideas or references I would use to animate a sneeze.  What would I do with their hands and various body movements?  So very cool!

How long does it take to make an animation from beginning to end?  Including your planning stages... do you like sketch out or pre-plan for certain poses?  Nice work.
