What an adorable character!  I like Penny a lot - she's got a cute nose (I especially like the pic where she's sneezing, but all the other pics are nice too), and I was touched by how you describe her character in your stories. I can relate to her being anxious and worried about annoying her room mate Rose. And Rose seems to be such a generous, easy going person, and caring. Very likable. I thought it was lovely when she talked about the "Penny plant".

YES!!! I love Star's and Baum's styles so much, and I was SO excited to have both of them draw Penny!!! It made me fall more deeply in love with her.

@Erudork : Thanks for sharing the links; I've just read the two stories and enjoyed them very much! (I left kudos for both of them.) I especially like the one with Penny waking up Rose in the middle of the night because she forgot her keys. This line touched me especially (I hope it's OK if I quote here) : "(...) She feels like rest has been taken away from her. From her family. It goes deep. She is exhausted. As a Black woman whose ancestors were slaves, she is exhausted."
Rose seems like such a kind and mature person who has learnt to deal with problems in a both rational and caring way. She doesn't have a fit over things because she knows it's just not worth it, and she understands Penny so well, accepting her just the way she is. It feels so good to read about the two of them! I'd love to read more about their friendship. (Even without sneezing included.) 

Also, in the other story, I could totally relate to Penny feeling not so comfortable with too many people around, preferring one-to-one-conversations with someone she likes. I'm really a smilar type! 

The drawings of Penny and her friends and roommates are really lovely too.

Penny's design is really well made. Doesn't matter which art style she is drawn in, her character design is easy to recognize. Her hairstyle is charming. Singing is awesome, and I like the variety of outfits.
