No. Washington and California have very diverse economies. Yes it would certainly hurt, especially areas like San Jose, Redmond, Bellevue, but they have other jobs in the nearby areas. California has agriculture, services, etc and Washington has agriculture, timber, services, fishing, etc. Both have many major companies. They would not be hit as hard as the east coast which virtually shut down. They had no other jobs.
