What?  This was a token of appreciation?  You don't want to accept mutual friendship between the coasts?  Put aside our differences and unite against the center?  Are you willing to start a coasts war simply over not accepting this offer?

As someone who has spent considerable time on both coasts, the west coast wins hands down.  I've never met someone from the west coast who moved to the east coast want to stay there.  On the other hand, most of the family and friends I know who have come from the east coast, never want to go back. 

The lifestyle is so much better out west, and the quality of life is too.  No slums, no cramped streets.  The west coast is truly the place to be. 

New England would be the best region for the east coast.  Very beautiful, but then again, you get nasty weather in the winter.  The west coast has none of those weather extremes and is mostly mild all the time.

Yeah, but no rain.
My friend has lived all over the world, and on both coasts. Currently lives in Cali. Hates the shit out of it lol. While I haven't lived on both, it just doesn't seem desirable to me. New England is nice, it's pretty. But yea, crowded. But so is California in some areas. I don't know about Washington or Oregon. I know my aunt lives in Washington. But she doesn't really talk about it.
West gets earthquakes too. Das scary shit.

Southern California is the only shit place that doesn't get rain.  Northern Cali all the way up to beautiful Washington get rain.  Washington is the New England region on steroids.  Oregon has a beautiful and rugged coast.
