Eh, wasn't that mostly around the area that it happened. I hear teachers who lived in like the Midwest say that, like, the way it was treated was different than how say, the people around the area it happened acted. She apparently moved shortly after it happened or something. I think maybe something to do with how "real" it felt. As opposed to how people not in the neighboring states felt about it. Sure they were sad and somber when it happened because it was awful. But idk.

And I maybe I'm just negative Nancy, but, for all the "uniting" that event did. It also drove people apart. Especially certain minority groups. Their shops and stuff vandalized, their kids ostracized. Shunned for a sin they didn't commit. Lots of unity right there.

I was across the country from it, and it shook my area to the core.  People were united in uber liberal Bay Area here.... for the first time like, ever.

It rocked the country to the core, and where I was, it did.  So it was very real and felt other worldly for a period after the event.
