If I had to choose, I'd get a husky. They're so adorable! Although I'd have to move up north for that
I believe if you give your husky a short cut they should be able to manage. If they also lived in a warmer climate they wouldn't grow in their thick winter coat. But husky's are also incredibly hard to train, very stubborn, and need a firm hand. They're also not the greatest people dogs if not socialized and trained well. They're a pain in the ass. They're like Shiba Inu's. They're such a pain in the ass to train. But usually if you train them well, they're incredibly intelligent dogs. (Well trained Shiba's are still little assholes though so XD)

German shepherds are exceedingly loyal and easy to train, but you need to be stern and firm with them in training too.  They are very fast learners, and very protective.   Part of the reason why police use them.

Well they can be tough. You have to, HAVE TO, HAVE TO train them. They're not the type of dog that if you don't train them well with people and other animals that they'll do well. If not socialized they can become aggressive dogs. They're loyalty there is probably part of the problem, they're very protective. They are not stubborn like huskies though. Shepards are eager to please. But again, if not trained well they will become a problem dog.

And actually, German Shepards have been started to be phased out of the police force because of bad breeding. They aren't as agile anymore. Their backs have been made shorter as well as their legs over time. And they can suffer from hip dysplasia. The breed back then was a lot leaner and had longer legs.

A similar breed has been started to be used now.
Quote
even the police in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia, who had relied on the dogs for years, recently announced they were replacing them with Belgian Malinois, because the less-popular Malinois were hardier and more reliable.

Note their longer legs and less stocky and more agile appearance.

German Shepherds are cool dog's.  Didn't know about police agencies moving away from them soon the future possibly.  One of my old friends used to have two.  They were insane dogs that scared the heck out of you when the barked and raced at you, but then he would yell a word at them in German, and they would instantly stop.

Yelling in Spanish isn't nearly as harsh as screaming out words in German. ;)
