Yes, not just in Taiwan, but China and Japan.  And it isn't just related to pollution.  A lot of it is everything being so clean in some places too, that people don't know how to fight even common bacteria or viruses anymore.

Soap is good, its the hand sanitizer people are smearing on everything that's been proven to be bad.

Anti bacterial soap is not "bad for you" but in the long run, it is a setup that bacteria gets used too and can build up immunities too.  So that same anti bacterial soap that was effective in time X, will not be as effective in time Z.  If that makes sense...

It is best to use a non anti-bacterial soap.  Soap and water is still the best way to clean your hands and bod.

It depends on why you're using it.  If you're, say, cleaning up after your dog it's probably a good idea.  But some people use it so much they're actually killing good bacteria.

^ Exactly what he said.  A hand sanitizer is better then not washing your hands, but it does NOT replace washing your hands... like some people think it does.

I don't replace hand washing, that is the best.  I just checked my soap and it isn't anti-bacterial.
