Yes he did.  There will be many implications, but I hope he is good for France.

I would have thought that with all the recent terrorist attacks and problems from immigration, France would have gone more conservative then him.

You got very liberal centers like Paris.... the south would have voted more for Le Pen.

Exactly.  The French "rustbelt" is in the south.

Hmmm.  I don't know enough about France I guess.  Well I hope he leads them well and remains a good ally.  I know he is pretty radical too.

He wants to give $500 in credit to every teen for studying culture.  Yes he is radical.

He will also most likely keep France in the EU.

Germany can rest easy knowing that France will stay in the EU with Macron there.  Germany relies heavily on the EU, because without it... their would be trade problems for them.  Germany manufacturers and produces more then they consume, and they rely heavily on the EU trade deals.

Exactly!  You said that well. 

The UK can leave the EU.... but if another player like France or Italy were to leave, the EU would dissolve.

The EU is shaky as it is now.  I would be surprised to see it lasting another ten years as it looks now.
