I've never been directly involved in any type of dog attack, but I've watched pit bulls lunge at other dogs even if the other dog has done nothing, and the owners like freak out trying to hold them back.

Dogs badly bred, and many bad owners too.

I had a relative who had their hand bit by a pitbull.  They used to work at a shelter and were trying to open the cage of a pitbull when it grabbed her hand and ripped it to pieces.  No scarring somehow.

I've been attacked by a few dogs, nothing too crazy but it happens every once in a while.

I really hope they're both okay!

No, she's got a hand.  It just tore the skin and bit into the muscle and everything, even for a split second.  Luckily it all healed and you can't even tell.

Really gross picture of a pitbull attacking it's owner.  It was on the news a few years back.  Seriously, don't click that if you don't want to see horrible gore.

Yeah, after it healed, she helped at the shelter again too.

That dog eventually got an owner, and it was reported it killed another dog and was put down.
