"Evisser G. Orp" sounds like a great name for a character in a Kurt Vonnegut novel.  Or maybe Kilgore Trout, the author's novelist-within-a-novel alter-ego. Maybe a Tralfamadoran spy on Earth who picked his name thinking that's what human names are supposed to sound like?... On the whole, no weirder, I suppose, than "Montana Wildhack".
