That old story of the shape of guitar, violin etc. was modeled on a woman’s curves, which ends in question what was used for a model for balalaika :nervoussmile:.

Those books from the olden days that had those golden spines.  I don't remember what they were called, but I just remember them.  They were aimed towards kids.

(EDIT:  They were called LITTLE GOLDEN BOOKS!! :D  Wow, I haven't thought of these since I was a kid!  Nostalgia just hit me in the face like a brick.   See the books here.)
