Some Gen-Z jerkwad likely inflamed by the growing poisonous rhetoric out there.  They say he posted nothing inflammatory, but what media was he consuming, I wonder? If it were a right-wing kook taking potshots at a Democratic politician, you can bet they'd wonder about his TV diet and what websites/message boards he visits. I caught a rerun of my favorite afternoon AM radio show from earlier this week,  and when they talked about sentencing in his corruption trial being pushed back and it being advisable for the Secret Service to consider doubling, even tripling Trump's security detail, I winced.

I'm also looking ahead two months and thinking this might be the first Presidential election where an October surprise has been carried out by strategists against their own man. They won't just cast Biden out unceremoniously, I don't think--above all else, he needs to look like a Pope stepping down nobly, not a sickly old dog that just passed gas under the kitchen table. They'll prop him up and push him over the finish line--Nov 5--and if he wins, expect all due fanfare going into a second term. Maybe they'll dust off the old Hundred Days bit they used with Clinton, but likely he won't serve more than thirty, 45 days, tops, as, trying to save face, they'll phase him out slowly until his replacement is fully ensconced. Hell, ol'  "Cannibals-et-my-uncle" Joe might not even realize he isn't President anymore 'til the following January.

Many analysts say this assassination attempt was what solidified Donald Trump's victory in 2024.  I think it's too early to say that, as there will still be bombshells to be had before election day.  But one cannot deny how triumphant Trump came out of this situation.

But give it a few days.  Political parties will get devious again, things will be found out, and more information will arise.

The shooter had given donations to leftwing causes and other sources are beginning to find out he was indeed entrenched in leftwing propaganda.

Trump's VP pick may be JD Vance.  Secret Service was at his house for protection today taking him to the convention.

I was hoping it was going to be Doug Burgum or Marco Rubio.

JD Vance was indeed picked as the VP.  Not my first choice...

As you all know by now, 69% of Democrats in a recent poll wanted Joe Biden to step down.  Today it was announced he tested positive for COVID again.  Also Biden for the first time said he would only step down in a doctor told him he was mentally unable.  It seems to Democrats don't want him in the public spot light and are trying to give him reasons to step down.

Trump's nomination speech was really good and unifying.  It was the longest speech in American history for a nomination. He also shared his full experience with the assassination attempt.  He said it is very painful to think of and he will only talk it about it once and no more. In the speech he laid out his future plans. Here is is full speech.

We also learned Trump is going to attend the funeral for the fallen firefighter who was killed at his speech last Saturday.

I am listening to the speech now so I know what was said.  So far it has been very respectful and lots of thanking people, Secret Service.  Amazing insight on what happened to him.

There are a lot of rumors that Biden may be out of the race by next week.  Some say even possibly Friday.  The leftwing media has completely turned on Biden.

It was a great speech and he detailed how he planned to do many things. I think it was very positive. I found his retelling of that day to be very interesting.  How he honored the firefighter shot was a beautiful thing and how he will help financially support the families involved.  A wonderful show of support and caring. I think my big take away was none of this was about him, but instead the people of America.  It is about the American people, their story, and how they will determine their own outcomes under the grace of God.  Fantastic speech.

A lot of Democrat written articles claiming Trump and Republican's are running scared about Kamala now. It's really laughable.  Even some now saying that Biden was never fit to run... meaning they lied for four years.  Some are now admitting the "Dark histories" of the Biden family while others are trying to reassure Democrat voters that Kamala is an "intellectual" choice and why she isn't a bad option.  It's all quite laughable if we're honest.  Biden's removed was a "selfless act of devotion" according to one news outlet.  What clowns.

We kept hearing these rumors and it finally happened.  We will see in a few days what happens in the polls, but polls prior to this announcement, Kamala Harris had a worse polling score than Biden. And when compared against Trump, she also stood no chance.

If it is Kamala Harris, who will she choose as vice president?  Probably in the Dems eyes, they need to find a boring white male governor.  They will try to make it historic and play the gender and race card for sure.

But going into the Democratic convention in August, I don't know if they will let Dems have a choice beyond Kamala unless they think there is no road to victory.

So what do you guys think will happen?  Obama, Pelosi, and Schumer still run the Democratic Party.  They have not come out to endorse Kamala Harris.  What do you think is up their sleeve?  Will Michelle Obama make a bid despite her saying she would never want that?  Will Gavin Newsome pop up again?  What about Gretchen Whitmer?  Will it be some outlier candidate?

Biden is a one term president. I am concerned though since the announcement was so weird, coming out on Twitter with no video, speech, or image, that Biden could be having complications with his COVID.

I think this is too short a time for any candidate to have a real shot.  So bigger names like Newsome or Whitmer would be better off to hold off their runs to the next election.  They'd have a better chance then lose in this election and tarnish their names.  I could see a Newsome and Whitmer ticket come the next election.

As for other Democrats, someone will eventually rise up among the mess.  They are very calculated bean counters and will usually have their best foot forward no matter what.
