Say what you will, but I don't see it having the same charm as the original. I mean, the humor in the first Spaceballs was already pretty ridiculous; imagine how absurd it's going to be in the sequel, with the humor of the 2020's... :o

Then again, what Mel Brooks said at the end implied that they're making this movie because they want to, not just for the fans, so maybe they're actually going to put their heart into it and stick with their own genuine humor instead of giving in to the brain-rotting humor that's prevalent nowadays?

I think at damn near 100 years old, Mel Brooks is determined to do this HIS way and not a studio’s way.

If there is one thing to know about Mel Brooks, he is going to do it his way and you know it will have heart and character into it.  This may very well be his last production.  I hope it goes exactly how he wants and he gets a positive reception on his way out.

I hope it's better than the History of the World, part 2 series. While it had some bright spots, Brooks' trademark humor seemed to meander all over the place, and a few skits were just excruciating to sit through. I guess it was because, as it was an eight-episode series on Hulu, he had to fill four hours--twice as much running time as a theatrical film.

Wait, didn't Brooks already have a Spaceballs cartoon? That's, like, three and a third sequels' worth of material right there. I don't know...without the late John Candy and Rick Moranis on board, I have my doubts for this one.

Never even heard of the Spaceballs cartoon.  Definitely from the era of cheap crummy flash animation.

I think a lot of people, even some big fans didn’t know about that. I know I didn’t.

So I think there’s a topic about it in the requests area but I figured I’d post about it here.

Kpop Demon Hunters.

Fantastic film, great animation, wonderful acting, and music that will not leave your head for a very VERY long time. Definitely shooting a recommendation for it.

If you wanna see it, just head on over to Netflix.

If I paid for streaming services, I would give it a look.  I stopped all my streaming services a few months ago.  Now my TV is whatever I get for free and Youtube. Heheh....

Thanks for the recommendation.  I am sure I will see it eventually. :)

Laika Studios from Oregon has revealed their next film called, "Wildwood."  They are going back to the dark and creepy.
