Pony Sketch Dump [M&F, no sneeze]

So! Let me go on the record and say that you guys as a community have recently inspired me to watch Friendship is Magic.
I've seen most of Seasons 1 and 2 and maybe one or two episodes of season 3; but other than that, I really don't watch the series regularly. I don't get the Hub/Discovery Family as a channel, so I'm always left to wait for episodes to go online before I can watch them. But now that the show is on season break (and they've put it all on Netflix), I'm seizing the opportunity to catch up.

Plus, I always felt weird about having fan characters but not a broad sense of where they could reasonably fit into the universe. So this is also pretty informative for me!

I'm roughly halfway through season 1, re-watching favorite episodes I haven't seen in years (such as Boast Busters and Bridle Gossip), and finally seeing ones that I missed the first time around (such as Dragonshy and Feeling Pinkie Keen). Annnnd as I've been going, I've also been sketching some of the Mane 6! Plus Trixie and Spike. Just still trying to figure out how to draw them and blend my style with the show's. These aren't polished by any means, but I think they're cute.

I really, really love sketch dumps in general because there's so much that can fit into one page and the artist usually just enjoys having fun sketching whatever comes to their mind! I think that this is enjoyable. I love how you did their manes in your own art style. Their muzzles are also cool to see in your own style, and I think my favorite faces are Rarity, Pinkie, and Twilight. There's something really cool with Rainbow dash's mane here, but I don't know exactly what. That being said, I like each individual sketch. This looks like it was fun to draw and I'm glad you took time to draw them and showed it here!

Personally, Boast Busters is one of my least favorite episodes, but Trixie's cute-ish.
I love their round like muzzles.

@Leapingriver -- I don't think I loved it the first time I saw it, but going back to it, I enjoy the message and the dynamic differences they've drawn out between Trixie and Twilight. Trixie's a fun character.

She is. It was mostly the Mane6 that really ticked me off. They were being such dicks for no reason.
But Trixie was an alright character. I'm not obsessed with her like most of the fandom, but she's alright.

And I concur!  The muzzles are, in my view, particularly good.  IMO, the front-on aspect is hard for the show itself to execute, so I think you did a really good job with Twilight there.

I also particularly like the Dash and Rarity, though I can't quite put my finger on why.  I think everything just came out in good proportion there.  (Spike's head is pretty good too!)

Thanks! I think Spike came out looking really good. I think that was my first time drawing him, actually -- all others except for Trixie I haven't drawn since 2012 or 2013.
