I'm befuddled as to why Big Mac, Soarin' hang out with Zephyr to begin with.

Their sisters and, in Soarin's case, hump-buddy, are friends... whaddaya gonna do? It was probably Twi's idea, because she figured he needs to hang out with dudes more....

The comic is accurate with the show.  Spike remembers the first butt he's ever felt was Twilight's BECAUSE IT WAS TWILIGHT'S.

Today's comic got sad real fast, but I really found the punchline real funny. I wasn't expecting this. OK, well, maybe half-expecting it, but it was still funny.

I like her sad smile  I cannot tell if she is crying or not, and that was a good punchline.  Haven't heard that in... well.... maybe never seen it done as good as this.

APD will agree with me surely.  Diff artists.

I liked not only the comic, but we also got world building.  We know this is a more modern Equestria due to devices they have, automobiles, and even this modern train engine.  But we also got to see some  new locales.  This is one of the only times we've seen this much detail put into their backgrounds.  I liked it.

^ Oh, very true, very true.  We got Ponyville today, some signs that read Seaddle, and Rainy Coast.  So they are in Equestria's wet and cold upper west coast, the Pacific Northwest region.

Heh, Seaddle is canon in the show as well.
The backgrounds were very pretty, Spike looked so excited.

Sheesh, first horsewife goes off the deepend, now Twilight's crying in the rain.

To underscore the sadness of the last panel.....

Possibly some sort of Ambiguous Disorder at play? Depression with overtones of bipolar or schizophrenic symptoms, is my guess. Was this the "vacation" comic that was teased in one of the "Ask Twi" segments?  Not quite what we expected....
