Twilight is pretty well off, but I think we all already knew that.  She's also frugal at spending money though.

There was a lot of detail work in this episode.  I do think that is the most clear overview of the town we've ever seen.  It shows us it's surroundings, at least to the south (presumably).

Yeah, I can see the resemblance, kinda.  The Sparkle residence has a different, simpler front door, a two-car garage on the opposite side of Daria's place, and that big jutty bit in the front--bay window, I think it's called--but it's a similar style of home.  Possibly modeled after an actual house in the artist's neighborhood?

Fun fact: Those windows mounted in the roof are called "gables".
