Green Eggs And Ham. Just sayin'. Maybe there's sticky legal issues behind it, I realize that, but do we
really need to see the same books re-adapted two or three different times over the last twenty years? Maybe a Lorax or a Horton project drops once in a blue moon? At
my blog I mentioned an idea I've had for an adaptation of
The Seven Lady Godivas, a fairly obscure bit of Seuss
oeuvre that he
all but disowned. Someone, conceivably, could forego the wait 'til the book becomes public domain in 2034 and just buy the rights for pennies on the dollar
now.
