OK, after almost seven thousand miles on my current truck all of major roads are mostly yellow, so after that I can switch to hidden roads. Those X X X X markings are useful for finding them, because it’s the only way to know (without bumping an invisible wall ;D) what passage is actually open. You could probably notice than new roads have some places where the closed pass is separated not by markers or closed gates, but by something like fallen tree or a truck, also, some cities in Montana have very sharp turns (more than 90 degrees) — not very much of them, but it’s still hard to miss, especially if you need to turn right with RM Double ;D. Not every city can give deliveries of fuel (it’s not nessessary to have Gallon or Chemso base, Rail Export also fills fuel tanks), and there are three cities in the row without a service, so for exploring the new roads with short rides sometimes I was forced to take The Most Lame Cargo (on 53' flatbed, these plows look the most miserable), use company trailers and (what a shame ) take quick jobs for three thousand bucks.
Despite you can find some locations which may look as part of AZ or NV, western part of Montana have a lot of typical scenery with a small river or lake behind some tall trees, and with mountains on the background. On some of the roads you can take a photo like that from any direction ;D.
BTW, driving east from Kalispell not through Glacier Park, but on the recommended route will not disappoint the nice scenery lovers, and I-90 between Coeur d’Alene and Missoula is a good place for screenshots as well.

P.S. One of the logos on the city building reminds me one of hired drivers. Is that a coincidence? ;D

Thanks for sharing your experiences and photos!

I am still exploring early.  Gonna finish the WoT event, but I am loving the state so far.  Imagine if they go back to WA-OR-CA and give it the proper mountain scenery they deserve.

I see the well-protected truck here ;D.
Both from the front and from the rear.

Ok guys... it's official... I FOUND A GLITCH!!!!!

Heading eastbound to Billings from Laurel, if you drive through the weight station, the game doesn't register the road you drove over as being completed.  Meaning you can never 100% all roads in Montana.

I was never in 100% map completion, but I had even reloaded the game and tried to drive through it again ;D. So, I see more people know about it.

(BTW, did you notice that new states have more weigh stations located not in that way, but as some truckstop-like yard, which takes a couple minutes to come off the road and check your weight? One of WS’s near ID-MT border even has some kind of crop sprinkler water reservoire nearby — the Google Map says it’s Sage Junction)
Also, last time I was there literally ten minutes ago, although it was in other direction — while delivering sone Diesel fuel ;D.

Sage Junction

To be honest, when a weigh station is too time consuming to get to and isn't convenient right along the freeway, I often just ignore it and drive by. ;D  For some reason you don't get in trouble for doing that. ;D

I haven't come upon that weigh station that doesn't add to your map exploration total.  I am sure if we are noticing it, SCS will hear from fans soon enough. I couldn't find that weigh station in real life, but I did find a truck stop in roughly the same location. In real life it is a TA Travel Center. Looks like SCS took some liberties to the design and made it a weigh station!

I have caught the last four-digit number on 57X’s odometer ;D. Also, I think short triples very fit to the two-axle tractor.

Triples are cute — not only referring to sneezes ;D.

Great photos everyone!  Mostly Tim since he was the only who posted photos except for one, lol.

Look a little it further east of the TA Travel Center.  The weight station is there and SCS made it pretty accurate.  Map Location

Nice!  Just about to hit 10,000!  Those mini tree triples are cute.  I haven't seen that yet!  Kind of surprised they made that trailer for those.

Kind of surprised they made that trailer for those.
If more specific — they made that cargo for that trailers. Not every length of flatbed has an adequate cargo load — if you have 53', some cargoes fill the full deck, and some of those are taken from 45' or 48' kind. So, most of flatbeds in my fleet are short doubles and triples — they always carry the maximum! (except for giant Volvo wheels, where one 53' takes as much cargo as three 28,5's )

I checked the official forum — that bug has been already reported at release day’s evening ^b-.

Well, there were no updates since the release — the version is still 1.45.3.1s.
It’s not a critical bug like invisible wall or a fence across the bridge (remember a stream with Montana gameplay month ago? ;D), so, the correction patch will be made only when all bug reports will be digested.
Also, if you are close to some objects, the right small mirror may show the weird two-part image:

(BTW, look what they offer us to drink. The gas station is not from new ones, but I have noticed that name just yesterday)

P.S. There is a picture what comes to my mind almost every time when I think about the triple trailer ;D.

And, moving through some gas stations or small bases like old Coastline Mining reminds me a Snake game ;D.

I do like how they are making so many fictional brands for around the world.  I don't remember seeing that kind of branding in ETS as much.

So what do you all think the next blog post will be about?  Will it be about Texas?  Will they do their first blog post on the new ETS map locations?  If they did ETS, they could have something to show while they promote Texas for ATS.

If count not the brands, but the number of various billboards in ETS (especially since 2018), this part of economic system is still very strong. When the Road to Black Sea expansion came out, I loved the local advertising — someone in Romania sells multi-panel windows, someone in Bulgaria offers their gas cylinders to the local Hank Hill colleagues* and so on.

*and, if you mentioned Texas, I can say I demand at least one teeny-tiny reference to Arlen! [tappity]
Bend has a GF easter egg, and ABQ has BrBa one, so Texas must have its collection as well.

Will they do their first blog post on the new ETS map locations?
Yes ;D.
