I also remember there was a truck brand called... heh... FAP.
I remember Chinese FA
W — First Auto Works

.
I can think of KAMAZ off the top of my head... and thats about it.
Their noteworthy (for 21th century) models
are based on modern Mercedes trucks (today KamAZ group is partially controlled by Daimler Group — like Freightliner or WS), the other are either old junk, which is good only for local trucking, or military-specific products. So, the original Mercedes is much closer to the France

.
GAZ?
Small and the smallest trucks and buses, no big rigs. Not a big difference from top Chinese stuff, except a lower production rate

. Also, from all Russian vehicle names, the GAZ one is the easiest for
converting into FAP.
Ural
Military-specific trucks for testosterone-poisoned men —
you have seen Ural Next in the ETS.
ZIL
RIP. A very hmm... specific qualities of the latest products. Having its factory at the expensive land not far from Moscow’s center doesn’t help too — being located in the middle of nowhere, the factory could survive, selling non-commercial trucks (garbage, road maintenance etc.) to the small towns.
There is also a
«TONAR» brand (yes,
that’s a bear on its hood
), but they make only ultra heavy-duty vehicles.
Ukrainian KrAZ and Belorussian MAZ are in the same category as KamAZ, but without really up-to-date models. Today MAZ works in some collaboration with MAN, the product of alliance has double name MAZ-MAN. There
is some cool stuff made by MAZ, but like Tonar,
it suits more to Spintires/Mudrunner than
ETS.
