So, we see how close are SCS and Freightliner now — if there are changes in truck’s interior, they appear in the game very soon. This time some details in door and dashboard design were altered, and the biggest sleeper allows us to replace the bed by the table with chairs.

It is good to see this closeness with Freightliner and possibly others under the parent company.  The Cascadia, while a newer truck, has already had a couple updates to it.

I like that black and mocha interior.

ATS is really getting all the updates.  All this recent news, the recent new truck, plus the upcoming California rework, Montana, and Texas!  We all know it's because the delay, but how come the SCS forum users, the supposed ultimate fans, don't get it?

These Cascadia updates will be nice.  I still haven't bought a new one with the all electronic dash. Something worth mentioning from the blog post is this;

"We are also pleased to learn that our friends at Freightliner love our live streams so much, that they accepted our invitation to have a representative be a part of one of our broadcasts, which we will be dedicating to the Freightliner Trucks and SCS Software cooperation. We will talk about their brand and products being a part of the ATS Universe, and about the Freightliner Cascadia truck in general while showcasing the new interior looks coming with 1.44 update."

This has me excited and maybe we will hear more about future products or even just info on how truck production goes on. :D

Because people are ungrateful ingrates.  People can't ever be happy with what they have or are given and they expect something to constantly be given to them.  It's horrible.  SCS can do whatever they please, it's their business. They don't owe anything to these people.

I loved seeing old pictures from previous games on the previous page.  Nice to have that discussion with y'all.

It will be nice having new interiors for the Cascadia.
Something that always makes me sad is we can't see more the interior.  We just look back.  I wish we could have a short animation to simply walk back there while parked, even if it serves no purpose other than to look at their modeling and things up close within the cabin.

OK, since all weigh stations were closed, I didn’t buy the hazardous cargo permit yet — if that game was released in our time, I believe that could be done on-line in any time ;D.
So, that black International 9600-lookalike was replaced by Freightliner Century or something like that — again, the new vehicle is a bit faster, but there is still a challenge to take an order to LA and deliver it in time ;D. I think only after buying the fastest truck all time-related challenges will become easy. Three trucks left are more-or-less recognizable — K100, W900 and I believe the third is a 379.

(hmm... the weight of truck is 3500... in what? kgs — no, lbs — no...)
Also, I just noticed that truck prices are randomized — every time when you visit the truck stop, they may vary a lot (for a low-level payer without any hired drivers) — for me, the upgrade to the next truck was between 76k and 56k, so, it’s a good idea to save and load until you will see the lowest price ;D. In general, this game makes you save and load too much due to its «fake difficulty» moments. If you have stopped at the truck stop once, the menu will not open again after you close it  — load the saved game or return to the road and visit the truck stop after some time (if you have it ;D). If the intersection is blocked — try to use the wrong lane if it’s possible or load the saved game. Although this save-load tactics can help you to get the order you want since their spawn is randomized too.
Aaannd... this game seems to have no gravity! You may not worry about losing the speed on uphills, but you also can’t speed up on any downhill — no matter how steep is grade, the truck always accelerates and breaks like it goes on a horizontal surface ;D.

Gravity is so overrated.

OK, the HC permit have opened some really expensive cargoes (including a nuclear waste with unique trailer!), and I didn’t expect that they will be so profitable! All income was spent on truck upgrades, again ;D. So, the red and the new green truck were used 4 or 5 times before I have replaced them ;D. As you see on the screenshot (my favorite cargo from ATS ^-^), this K100 imitation has two separate sleepers, and W900 has a picture of a girl on the wing above sleeper.

Now it’s possible even to escape from police chase, if the road is not blocked by stopped cars. So, only one truck left to try, but it’s very expensive, so my current truck will be used more than five times ;D. The ticket system has an interesting feature (I always turn off the fatigue simulation in *TS, so I don’t know, does it exist in new games) — if you are tired, noone will notice that, but if you are caught on speeding or weigh station avoiding, the fine for a driving under fatigue will be added to your list, and it’s much bigger than for a speeding.

BTW, look at SCS’s newest blog post:
Well, I am agreed they needed to show the current status of the game, because almost ten years have passed since the first promo:

Let's be honest, they really only made this new trailer because they needed to calm down the angry ETS2 fans.  This was the easiest thing they could do.  It might take an afternoon to make a good trailer. A few days if they are really trying. It's not all that difficult.

Because if that wasn't the case, they could have made a new trailer (they might still) of ATS.  It has changed a lot too.

All that said...... I did enjoy the new trailer.

Thanks for sharing your adventure thus far.  I just want to point out how funny this image kind of looks.  The truck is sort of a big rectangle. ;D

Also the old industries make me chuckle... CAPONE INTERNATIONAL!!   [excited]

CAPONE INTERNATIONAL!!
Why do they need a dynamite? ;D
Tommy guns may be more appropriate cargo for them.

Whichever truck this is supposed to be based off of in real life, I am sure that company isn't pleased the knockoff is called a 'Glutton.' lol  It looks like a classic Kenworth.

I think this truck has some features from both most iconic trucks ;D.
So it’s either Peterworth W379, or Kenbilt 900.
Maybe, that name and teeth decor just mean something like «mile-eater». BTW, that nuclear waste trailer is yellow, so we know for what truck it is intended*. With my three-star level I can’t take this delivery yet (sometimes the game teases us by spawning higher-level orders, but if you try to take it, it says your rating is too low for this job), but I hope before I will get the fourth star, this Glutton will be in my property.

*and yes, the normal waste trailer looks perfectly with a first truck on the list, which is named «Rusty» and is very similar to Peterbilt 281/351.

This is a lowest-level truck here, although I like its engine sound ;D. Also, there are some interesting machines on the background of this photo. Level of detail is incredible ;D.
