The addition of Arganda is SO much smaller than I thought it would be.  Wow.

Now it's time to explore the new route around Yellowstone in ATS.

Pffft, who cares about open betas.  I've been playing Scania Truck Driver!!!  I'm about to hit my first four hours.  So far I cannot get it to recognize my controller... which is annoying.  But i must say I am impressed with it so far.  They have a large open world too, that in many regards is better than what they did with the world in ETS2 when it first came out.  It flows much better and the cities aren't just little clusters off a motorway like in ETS2 (early one).  They actually naturally flow into the countryside.

It's neat seeing how close they were to making ETS2 with so many similar to same assets.  They made the world active too with a busy airport and port so far that I've seen.  I very much like it.  I also enjoy the reaction tests.

As I remember, some of us have bought Scania Truck Driver (ugh, that abbreviation...) three months ago, and since ETS/ATS has only a small patch ahead without major updates (I hope 1.47 will contain much more content than 1.46), now it’s a right time for updating our driving skills. Since this game is older than the first ETS version I have played (it was 1.24 ;D), it actually doesn’t support my H-Shifter toggles right just as ETS does, and I am using the automatic transmission here.
Aaand... I think I know what sound clip must play every time when that deer/dog/bicycle sign appears in the time reaction test ;D.

Some nostalgic feeling where there was an «HDR» graphic option and you could see these overilluminated surfaces ;D.

I love that living trailer ahead. I would like to see something like that in fresh games as an available cargo.
Also, I have a suggestion: let’s call this game SDSScania Driving Simulator ;D.

UPD:
Interesting. We had the glass-transporting trailer for ETS since the earliest versions, but no such trailers for American market. Will we finally get an opportunity to carry glass panels (or whatever those factories may give us) in specialized trailers, or all glass-related cargoes will be transported by dryvans and sliding tarps?

Tons of info we haven't even touched on in this video by AP 101 Gaming.  I don't even know where some of this stuff was hidden....

And is SCS having someone actually design totally unique AI vehicles now?  What on earth even is this thing?  Lol!  It certainly looks like nothing in the American market.  I think it's someone's own unique design!

Super excited by the over 30 new businesses and two new gas stations!  The video also says this recent 1.46 update will make the Texas DLC compatible.  We might get Texas THIS month!

These people definitely have some sharp eyes ;D. Maybe, it’s not very hard to see new AI trucks, but noticing the new AI vehicles spawn rules or side dumper in the traffic may require digging in the source code. Also, I like new company logo with a horse — ETS already has one, so it’s time to add something similar to ATS.
Let’s see will Texas change its color from black to grey after the beta testing ends ;D.

I think we can safely move Texas release from December to possible November... dare I even say an October release around Halloween?

I think this is how the outside world thinks American trucks look like.  I mean... have you seen the new Chevy Silverado Super Duty?  No thanks... lol.  GMC is very gaudy too.  Gosh, the Toyota Tundra is ghastly as well going in the bigger and bulkier grille is uglier look. I think the new AI truck is supposed to be based on a Chevy Silverado... kinda... but something you rarely see now days in America is single cab pickups like the one they designed here.

Thankfully Ford F-150 and Ram 1500 are still classy... though Ram does offer the rugged Rebel and the insane TRX with 1,000 hp too, lol.

I think some designer had some spare time, lol!  I think it would be cool if they made more unique vehicles... but maybe not this unrealistic looking.  This one seems too Japanese vehicle looking in the front because of the squished grille and Mitsubishi headlights.  This truck they modeled belongs in an arcade racing game! Not a truck simulator. lol.

I have long noticed though that most of the AI vehicles in the game are from vehicles in the 2000s era.  There is like one AI vehicle from 2015 and another in 2012.  Everything is super old.  Even the police cars are old.

And they are just as old, and a bit older in ETS2.  ;D  The AI vehicles there are ancient as well.

Whenever they seem to add a new vehicle, it's always an OLD new vehicle.  When they added the Jeep Renegade, that was the newest AI vehicle in both games! lol.

I take that back... the newest vehicles are this weird red AI truck we see...

They also made a 2020 Mercedes GLS and a 2020 Subaru Outback.  Those are the new newest vehicles in the world of AI cars.

The newest AI car in ETS2 is a 2015 Ford Transit and 2015 Jeep Renegade.  lol.
