I am surprised they are doing this, but I for one welcome our future overlord to the game.  ^b-

Information from the ETS 10 Year Anniversary Livestream!!!

I finally watched the 10th anniversary stream for ETS2 and there was a lot of interesting information about future plans and coming content!  I will make it simple below.

They want to expand World of Trucks, make it it's own stand-a-longe product. They want it to be an important pillar to the ATS and ETS worlds.  People to create their own companies and have permanence in the worlds. It will continue to be indevelopment.

They want to bring the Trucking Simulator games to console and be able to develop them side by side with the PC/Mac game.  They don't want to half-ask it.  They got new dev kits for the next gen consoles.  Tied to this, they want to improve the games in-house game-engine. They didn't mention which consoles but we can assume Playstation and Xbox.

They said while at IAA in Hannover, they had a lot of new contracts signed.  "Cool things" and trucks coming to ETS2 in 2023.

A long term goal is to expand the world to new continents, rework areas.  They brought up coaches and buses again.  They said this game world has so much potential for other types of vehicles to play on.  But again, Pavel says they will get to it eventually.  They want to continue to improve the current worlds for as long as the games are playable. So don't expect buses or other types of vehicles to drive on anytime soon, but DO expect continued improvement to the game world.

I (or someone) will post the livestream here when they post it on Youtube.

I hope this experience may teach the developers to make the game work better with multi-core CPUs ;D. Since the consoles are not upgradable, the game must fit into their limitations.

Thank you for all this info!  I was led to believe there was nothing from the 10th anniversary stream.  I haven't been able to watch it yet.  This is all positive stuff... just as long as they don't make it a requirement to play online all the time.  But have ATS and ETS to play single player and making WoT more integrated with more features would be fun!  Right now we have company names and logos but it's very pointless as it has no real meaning or depth to it.  Would love some more management aspects.

Well, I was actually not interested in coaches and consoles, so I didn’t pay attention to this part . But I believe there are a lot of people interested in this. I think it’s the same situation as with convoys — for some people, it’s a huge improvement, while some people can notice the new game mode only when they accidentally press the «Convoys» button.

Also, some kind of new WoT event is coming:

Since this is Texas and they are including Musk's space port, what about his massive car factories and headquarters? ;D

The game uses Voltison for the Tesla name... I really think that name should be changed.  Voltison was probably them thinking of Thomas Edison and something to do with electricity... so we got VOLT-ISON.  I'm not sure what they could change it to to roll off the tongue easier.

Thank goodness they didn’t change the car design very much. And didn’t name this manufacturer as Toosla or Teslie (Remember Icelandic Ford from The Simpsons?) ;D.

We are getting some diversity in religious structures I see.

I know it's really early, but this applies to all the finished locations in our current game... why don't they have more people walking around?  They can seem so lifeless.

I agree that we need way more activity in most places.  They seem so empty without people.

These new churches, synagogues, and mosques look great!  How can we forget the massive amounts of diversity in the region we are headed?  It's pretty incredible.  These look fantastic.  I especially like the church in the first image above.

So Texas DLC before or after Halloween?  I say after Halloween (Oct 31), before American Thanksgiving (Nov 24).
