This is cool!  We are getting a new older (but still kinda new) truck!  I really thought it would be later in the year.

So, we have a second Alex on the stream.
And the first one has a WS sleeper background ;D.

The stream seems to be popular: I see some familiar nicknames (from SCS Forum and YT trucksim reviewers) in the chat.

^ The image doesn't seem to work there, Tim.

ENJOY your new truck everyone!!!! Western Star 700XE is in!!! Haven't watched the stream, but I want to.  Watch to the end of the video and OPTIMUS PRIME makes a secret appearance!

Might not be able to test drive it till the weekend, but I am pretty excited about another fully new truck instead of just a visual tweak to some headlights or something.

Ugh, that imgb still comes off sometimes.
But anyway, since I had a saved game just before buying the first truck for my current profile, it’s time to make some changes ;D.

What a connection these two trucks have? So, LT was the first one where the developers have divided the tank size selection from the chassis, and 5700XE is also a pioneer... in having an ability to choose the seat design separately from the interior options!
Plus, even if this truck is an older model, the quality is still great, and I really love its 200-gallon tanks for a daycab and 18-speed Eaton with retarder, which is currently unavailable for its successor, 57X. Also, for now 5700XE is the only aerodynamic truck with only three-axles chassis.

One small imperfection I see here — the Dynamic wheels should better fit the straight lines of a new truck, but they are not available on Level 14 . (sad trombone, please)
Nevermind! While driving the truck, I will not watch the wheels — my eyes will be being pleased with the fantastically detailed dashboard... real one, not an iPad on its place ;D.

It's a good looking truck.  Nice photos!  I can't wait to drive it and see how well it does.

I much prefer a real dashboard with gauges over the electronic screens everyone is moving too.

In 2020s, the electronic screen is just cheaper :(.

Wow, this older truck (5700XE) in it's fanciest trim level is more expensive then the new truck in it's fanciest trim level. :o

I'm configuring my 5700XE right now as we speak.

I like the photos, Tim!

^ It's a work in progress.  I am still trying to choose the right color.  Give me a sec and I will send you a really poor photo from my phone. ;D  lol

I'm trying to get an orange color, but right now it looks more yellow.  So I am going to play around with the color still.

Oh, yes.
The same paint can look totally different in the garage and under the sun, that's why I have mostly abandoned the non-metallic paints after the new lighting system was introduced.

Okay, here it is so far.  I am REALLY slow at editing this truck.  I might buy it, then come back tomorrow and finish it up.  It's late.  lol.  I included the stats on the side for you.
