Thank you for the answers everyone. :D  It looks pretty much the same honestly, but it is visually a bit better.  Especially inside the truck. It looks more modern.

They showed many views of the outskirts of the city with the mid-rise buildings.

By the way, their Twitter has two short videos (here they are) with more custom intros for starting cities. Looks like this time it was too embarassing to post so minor features in the blog ;D. I have checked one of older posts of this kind, and yup, the comment «where is new MAN TGX?» is present ;D, so... I think after two ATS updates the frustration about the missing new truck could be much bigger.

SCS will announce tomorrow the MAN TGX development has been cancelled and will return at a "better time and place."  ;D

Lol!  Pretty sure we wouldn't be setting any track records.

Kenworth Turns 100

Kenworth celebrates 100 years.  This came out at about the time SCS released the updated W900.  You might even recognize a certain truck in the video. ;)

Even if they have the anniversary paintjob, I still prefer my typical one ;D.

One thing I really don’t like in the updated dashboard — the missing indication of cruise control speed. It was in one of the dashboard display modes, but now there is some blank screen instead ;D.

UPD:
Due to the number of new agricultural industries introduced in previous DLCs, making new prefabs (and new liveries for locomotives! ;D) for these bases can be the only way to add something new. Even for this level of the game world we have a lot of repetitive models — for example, yesterday I have visited three identical-looking Deepgrove forest bases in two hours. But of course, we can thank developers for not copying the sunflower fields like they did in the oldest parts of ETS map.
P.S. Notice a funny bug on the first screenshot — that W900 has no stairs or fuel tanks at driver’s side .

California had some infamous sunflower fields when it firs released.  I think there were some (not to the same level as ETS2) between Oakland and Highway 99.

Those views of OK look nice.  In celebration of OK, I decided to look around the state a bit more.  Overall we are going to see a lot of tiny rural towns that look like they mages below.  Well past their former glory of bustling farming communities and today just being tiny commercial hubs for farmers.  Whether it be just a gas station or a few local shops in a mostly empty old main street.

I did learn something new!  Oklahoma City has a canal system!  YES!  They actually do and it's a growing tourist draw.  The city hs been building this canal system called "Bricktown" and it weaves around the old parts of the city.  They've been building it up with nice parks, shops, restaurants, bridges, a boat system, and a nice looking mini golf course!  I had no idea.  It is surrounded on both sides by walking paths.

The list of changes is not too long, but I love them.
First of all, recently I had two small complains:
One thing I really don’t like in the updated dashboard — the missing indication of cruise control speed. It was in one of the dashboard display modes, but now there is some blank screen instead ;D.
So, for a price of reduced fuel tanks ;D we got some updated exterior details...
Both of these issues were solved immediately — cruise control speed has returned on the dashboard display, and, if you have the old Caterpillar engine, not marked with a «Certified Clean Idle» sign, you unlock the option of old bigger (+20...40 gallons) tanks without useless DEF containers.
Next update is a completely redone career history menu, with much more detailed info about what you were doing in the game, including the log of deliveries (hmm, if compare with my first deliveries, they are not very profitable, but, at least, diverse ).

(the penalties are shown only from the last two weeks — maybe, for not making the numbers too scary  I found the interesting connection between the abscence of speeding violations and two sleeping violations — no free time to sleep, if you a driving too slow ;D)
And, of course, the gas tank trailers!

(Five-sided nuts! Just like on some fire hydrants. Well, it’s unusual, but better than seven-sided ones ;D)
The detailing is great! I love how all these fenders, wires, valves, light and safety sign mounts are done:

But the biggest innovation is an ability to paint the tank in one color ;D. As for the cargoes, the list is pretty short, and the pictograms are seemingly not finished — I think there will be just the portraits of currently used trailers for every kind of gas.

Other smaller updates like random road bumps and ability to choose where you will be teleported if the «content change detected» issue is found, seem to be useful too. The features of sound engine update or the adaptive cruise control may be still on edit during the beta test, so, it’s better to check them after the final release ;D.
So, I expect the ETS open beta in one or two days, no more.

Sooner than before.  But probably not within the next few weeks.  Once the BETA becomes official, we will be much closer to a DLC release.

As always, thank you @timmelon for your review of the update.  I am glad the cruise control icon is back.  I dislike how some trucks don't even notify you when cruise control is on.  Also there were further improvements to adaptive cruise control and emergency breaking!!  Also I am excited about the new info on our delivery progress.  The old one was.... old.

One small remark: it's the base game update, no DLCs like map expansion are planned to release for now ;D.
Of course, I expect the tuning pack release in addition to both states scheduled for this year, but it's still unclear when it will come out.

UPD:
Unlike ATS, we have a map update. Here are four German cities maps from 1.46:

And here are their maps from 1.47.

Next, the gas tank trailer. Less fancy than American one, but, at least, we can paint all the boxes which can be attached to the trailer. The marker light mount seems to be several times cheaper, if you compare the shape of all its parts ;D.

The cattle trailer has only painted top and bottom, while the walls and the doors can be either painted or chromed. Also, we have small fans on trailer’s sides... if the holes in trailer’s body are not enough for our passengers, which can be cows or pigs.

All other changes are more or less the same as in ATS. So, I predict the version 1.47 for both games will be released in two weeks ;D.
