I know it's a very small part of drivable road, because you can see where it begins and ends, but I love this photo the most in that recent WB post.

Speaking about recently added content, today the metallic paint for ATS gas tank was removed from the list, so, that trailer from my Malibu screenshot got the basic grey color :-0. Luckily, there is a custom paintscheme including two color metallic with pink lines, so I can keep the the look of the trailer almost as it was before. But, it's still unclear, did the developers decide that trailer must not have the pure metallic paintscheme, or they are going to return this color option later, after some corrections (the same paint looked a little darker than on a truck or other type of trailers, maybe there were reports about this ;D).

Yo, Numbers @1234 .  I see you in this topic quite often, but I you ever post anything.  Do you actually play these games, or do you just enjoy our banter (and wish you played these awesome games)?  ;)

No, I look at every topic that gets updated. It just so happens you look at that page whenever I happen to be looking at this topic. ;)

I'm unfortunately not a trucking simulator guy.

POSSIBLE BIG NEWS INCOMING / Livestream Event Coming  [excited]

SCS has a livestream on April 22nd that is going to be a BIG ONE.  The main topic they will discuss is future plans with ATS and talk about their recent trip to the USA and the many companies they have visited.  Expect a lot of big news to be teased.  It is also seemingly likely a new paint jobs DLC will be released very soon for ATS, possibly at the end of the stream.  Stay tuned.  This is developing news from the SCS socials.

So, the today’s one-hour stream is mainly an advertising for a new Steampunk paintjob DLC.

Looks like we’ll see a post about their experience with sound recording in collaboration with PACCAR guys. Maybe, even with some videos ;D.

I can say I am not a fan of overloading with details ;D. But, I love the wooden Peterbilt sleeper from here.

I will have to watch and listen to the stream when I have time, but I must say, for being a 'Steampunk' schemes pack, it doesn't really make me think Steampunk.  Some of these could work real well.

Well that was sudden.  Most are too busy for me.  I really wish they had basic schemes would could use (more of them).  These overly crazy ones aren't my style.  I like simple lines, stripes, and geometric shapes.

OTHER TRUCKING SIMULATOR GAMES ON THE MARKET

Since this a trucking simulator topic, here are some others that are possibly notable at the moment.

MY TRUCK GAME

This is more like a tech demo. Think of BeamNG Drive, but with trucks and trucking physics.  The developer is working to make a very realistic handle and feel to heavy duty trucks and is accomplishing it.  Imagine these physics in a realistic trucking game across various landscapes.  This is still in early access.

TRUCK DRIVER

This is the only game that has even come remotely close to good quality in the trucking game sphere.  It does certain things well, and overall is quite playable.  It's polished compared to most and has a new map DLC coming soon.  This game focused on a story mode with driver-customer relations.

ON THE ROAD - TRUCK SIMULATOR

Featuring a large, realistic Germany, this game puts a dynamic world in the player's hands.  It features two licensed trucks from MAN and Scania and has over 15 German cities and 6500 km or motorway.  The game allows you to found a company, hire drivers, buy trucks and trailers, explore the economic system, and even get out of your truck in certain areas.  Many are saying the game is still a work in progress, but it has a great sense of scale, and many features they wish ETS2 would have.  Some even say the driving model is better then what ETS2 is, being that this is a direct competitor. Overall it has potential to be good or not.

HEAVY CARGO - THE TRUCK SIMULATOR

The games allows the player to take part in all steps of a heavy cargo delivery from loading the product, getting out of your vehicle, driving the truck, or driving an escort vehicle in a lively world.  This game is coming and is based on the game listed above, "On The Road - The Truck Simulator."  With more polish, this could be an interesting and niche game.

Thanks for posting.  I've been wanting to get Truck Driver.  I know it isn't an ATS/ETS2 clone and different.  It might be a fun difference in pace.

on the upcoming DLC map ;D.

I don't think you will (Thank God, lol!).  So I finally figured out what those annoying side-roads in Texas are called. They are called "Frontage Roads" or "Collector Roads."  While there are SOME in a Oklahoma, they aren't common.

Here are two videos I recently watched about it. :)  I hope you learn something from it?  lol.  I know I did.

Nice blog post.  Oklahoma is looking good and compared to Texas, don't expect nearly as crazy a roadway setup.
