Not as big and impressive post as previous one.
I think this year ETS map updates have a little advantage since both Balkans and Switzerland are not flat ;D.
(actually, the same with Austria from last year update)

Oh wow, this is 'big news' for the OK post.  This is about it before the release of the game.  They always post the big city near last. All that is left is Oklahoma City.

The big cities in this part of the country are all pretty tame. Nothing that makes them stand out. Generic cities if you will.

TRUCK DRIVE IS BECOMING A SERIES & DLC

As part of Steam's Summer Sale, we had some announcements.

We got some new stuff and some strange stuff.  The TRUCK DRIVER game is becoming a series including a new DLC to the first game coming out this year as well as a sequel has been released.  it's weird.  SOΞDΞSCO has a new developer for the sequel, but the old developer is working on the DLC for the first game.  The first game apparently did well enough to call for the DLC and a sequel title.

Truck Driver: Heading North DLC

Truck Driver: The American Dream

This one is really weird.  You just have to watch it.  Clearly not aiming for realism, but more story driven... I guess.

Hmm... Year ago I quickly found a lot of «foreign»-named cities in Montana, like Glasgow, Malta or Lima...
But only today I have noticed Montana in Bulgaria ;D.

Isn't Montana a name for Mountain in Spanish or something?  lol.  Not sure what that would have to do with Bulgaria though.   [think]

As for the games by SOΞDΞSCO, the first game looks decent, but the sequel looks really . . . not good.  It looks so fake the road layouts.  That city shot I know they were proud of looked pretty terrible.

This is probably my fav photos for WB so far.  So much detail.

Nice Tulsa update.

Truck Driver: The American Dream looks awful.  Lol!  I am reading the comments and they are so positive.  What are these players seeing? What are they seeing that looks good?

^ It really looks weird.  I know it's supposed to captivate and draw you in, and in some ways it does.  It makes me curious what they are doing, but not in the way I'd want to play it.

Here is a stream of part of the current world and the DLC.  It looks pretty okay and maybe worth a play.  It is on sale now for $11 USD.

Also worth a look is an ever improving simulator game called TRUCK AND LOGISTICS SIMULATOR.

Steam Page

Their trailer even uses some of the same music SCS uses.  From Epidemic Sounds which anyone can use after paying a fee.

I am now the proud owner of Truck Driver and Truck & Logistics Simulator.  I will have to try these out, hopefully during the Fourth of July holiday.

More Oklahoma’s nature!

(no video here since Twitter asks for registration now)
Looks pretty nice, although it doesn’t stop me from worrying about ETS 1.48 beta ;D. It’s almost two weeks since ATS 1.48 beta has been shown, so... will be something big in that patch? Like, announced Switzerland rework or some old truck update? ;D
I have already made a lot of deliveries with new MAN TGX, but its first incarnation looks so bad I didn’t buy it since the second one was presented four years ago.

These are all SPOILERS.

I am probably totally wrong in thinking this, but I think the ETS2 update either had some issue or snag in production, or they are waiting just a bit to announce a rework area to fo with the update, since it's been pretty empty on the ETS side for awhile.

Honestly, those are nice OK pictures.  Also the 10 cities in the game files are very interesting.  Not a lot on the edges of the state, and a lot of non-biggest cities chosen to be marked cities.  Very interesting.  Here are the largest cities in Oklahoma by population.

1. Oklahoma City
2. Tulsa
3. Norman
4. Broken Arrow
5. Edmond
6. Lawton
7. Moore
8. Midwest City
9. Enid
10. Stillwater

And here is what is in-game.  I understand they had to space out cities, but still some odd choices.  Overall, they are spaced out VERY well though on the map.

[spoiler]

Ardmore?
Clinton?
Enid
Guymon
Idabel?
Lawton
McAlester?
Oklahoma City
Tulsa
Woodward? [spoiler]

OK will have the most "least large cities" in it based off the state's real populations compared to other states so far in the game.
