They spaced out the towns well as you said, but it's still some odd choices.  I am sure I will love it all the same though.

This is second time ETS didn't get a BETA right after ATS (or visa versa). The first time was when ATS got the 1.37 in February 2020.  ETS 1.37 came out 2 months later (around April).  Though this may have been due to lockdowns.

Thanks for the history lesson there.

Oklahoma is coming very soon.  I would assume the ETS 1.48 will come out before that . . . I would be shocked if it doesn't.  If you thought the riots in France were bad, wait till you see what happens if ETS2 fans don't get content while ATS does.  C:-)

^ Lol!!

I also thought of a great way to connect to the two games with really really big bridges!  [/sarcasm]

Why hasn't this been implemented?

Still no ETS news today, so have a video. Just some historical photos and look inside the anniversary truck, tested by us several months ago ;D.

Honestly, those are nice OK pictures.  Also the 10 cities in the game files are very interesting.  Not a lot on the edges of the state, and a lot of non-biggest cities chosen to be marked cities.  Very interesting.  Here are the largest cities in Oklahoma by population.

1. Oklahoma City
2. Tulsa
3. Norman
4. Broken Arrow
5. Edmond
6. Lawton
7. Moore
8. Midwest City
9. Enid
10. Stillwater

And here is what is in-game.  I understand they had to space out cities, but still some odd choices.  Overall, they are spaced out VERY well though on the map.
Ardmore?
Clinton?
Enid
Guymon
Idabel?
Lawton
McAlester?
Oklahoma City
Tulsa
Woodward?
OK will have the most "least large cities" in it based off the state's real populations compared to other states so far in the game.

It seems to balance the state out well where they have everything places. Though it seems odd to not have a town on a border like we have with so many others. ;D

Another reason we might not be hearing about tons of news for ETS is it is the Steam Sale right now. So they are focusing on sales (Also a Czech holiday season right now).  Companies don't release new content during the middle of Steam Sales (at least smart companies don't).

I am now the proud owner of Truck Driver and Truck & Logistics Simulator.  I will have to try these out, hopefully during the Fourth of July holiday.

Let us know how it goes.

I like that mushroom-shaped tower and the red ground (colored by bauxite dust) ;D. Also, there definitely will be several new cargoes for the dump and flatbed trailers. Can’t say I am really interested in the ore delivery (it must be really cheap), but I will like to haul these piles of aluminium ingots — it’s also something new, before that we could delivery the metals only in the shape of different profiles and colis.

This looks like a dirty industry to work in.  I wouldn't want my shiny truck to get dirty... ok, yes I do. ;D

I wish the trucks shows some mud and dirt.

So far I have played Truck & Logistics Simulator this past weekend.  It's okay and has potential for sure.  But you cannot deny that the game just feels like a typical asset bought game, slapped together.  I think the creator really wants it to be good.  They've made a massive world to explore and drive on with lots of towns and cities, industries, but it's not that professional feeling, if that makes sense.  Models are pretty basic, but that's okay.  The various jobs are quite fun.  The performance from the game is okay, but it lags with highest settings on.  It all feels artificial and unlived in in terms of the world, but the dynamics of the vehicles are pretty good.  It needs a lot of polish, but it certainly has potential, if not for the premise.  You essentially start  job from beginning to end or deliver products and goods using various vehicles.  You start by buying a vehicle, and earn money doing jobs, to get different vehicles that do different types of jobs.  So it has good progression.

I appreciate that breakdown. So the world is cut-rate and the vehicle models low detail?  What kind of jobs do you do?
