I remember a long time ago there was a promotional photo from one of the more flat state DLC's and someone was celebrating when they saw a slight hill in the background.  Not sure who it was.  Very similar to posts here recently. ;D
Oh, I remember that. But it was a false alarm [excited]
BREAKING NEWS!

An elevation change has been spotted in Kansas!!!!!! :o
Isn’t it just a ramp as a part of the interchange?

UPD:
Another Driving Academy stream!
An improvement: they were using the drumroll sound this time ;D.

^ That Canadian guy is kind of mean to everyone. I don't like that.

Since we probably have about two months before 1.52 full release, I expect several more streams with driving school ;D.

Gonna catch the second stream now.  There was also a Breast Cancer Month stream.  Don't forget to pick up the PINK CHARITY DLC.  All proceeds go the breast cancer charity.

^At least this part of the map is totally separated — the impression of crossing the border between «old» and «new» regions on the road could be bigger.

Let’s wait and see how they will connect the 2015 and 2025 parts of Scandinavia ;D. I wonder, will those tight 90-degree turns on the interchanges remain, or SCS will make something more easy to use with the long double trailer?

(I am sure the upcoming driving school will have a lesson how to built the safe trajectory quickly ;D)
By the way, while in 1.51 you can start using the longest doubles in Sweden as well, turns out not all the depots and service stations were adapted to them — using the fast travel or fast parking may put your vehicle between two close objects, which makes the big truck with two trailers jump like a sneezing Berry Punch ;D. After that, your vehicle will bounce several times and get about 30% damage :-0. So... let the hired drivers use this long double for now — their «virtual» driving seems not to suffer from the collisions .

That actually amazes me how they haven't worked on creating Britain and Scotland.  A huge chunk of their fanbase is there, it's weird this wasn't a priority country to rework.

I think they will do Scandinavia well.  The old parts aren't that bad at all. I think they look good.  Look at newer Finland for example.  It looks similar to the old parts of Norway and Sweden.

Back in 2010 (as I remember, UK map was a DLC for earlier game, added into ETS2 after some minor changes), it was enough to have a familiar name on the map, plus a couple of landmarks ;D.

I am shocked this hasn't been a priority country to work on as well.  It really confuses me, lol!

As you guys know I am from the Bay Area.  Did you guys find all those secret roads in the reworked San Francisco?  I couldn't believe there were SOOOOO many!!! I was sad when I went in and didn't see the hill trolley's... only to find them on a hidden route! :D  It was a neat rework of the city as I noticed the kept some 'old' buildings as a reminder to the past.  It was so well done.  I just finally am exploring the California rework after driving back across the country.

What tipped me off to one of the massive secret areas was a Plaster and Son depot that had no access to it.  I was confused at first, but it opened up an entire road network of secrets!!!

Looks like it was made like California Route 120 — first it was added as a «normal» road, but later redefined as a hidden one ;D.

There are so many hidden roads!!! :D I wish there was a way to turn the hidden roads into "main" roads on the map.  Like a solid line.

I think I did.  I loved seeing places I remembered from when I first got the game being altered in their rework.  Everything was such an improvement, though some roads are more pesky to get around. ;D  They really did a nice job at keeping all the depots in nearly the same spots, but redoing the whole world around them.  It was a huge improvement minus the disappearance of the hillside trolleys being easily accessible.  They are still there, but I think a lot of people will miss them.  Also Lombardi street was on a hidden road too.  You also could get underneath the Golden Gate bridge with the hidden roads. :D
