Gävle is confirmed, but, since the game has eternal summer (for now ;D), the famous Gävle Goat has very little chances to appear here.

American Truck Simulator Update 1.53 and California Rework Complete

SCS Blog Update

Update 1.53 for American Truck Simulator is now released and available on Steam! This free update contains some new content that you can read about in full on the SCS blog.

Phase 4 of the California Rework project focused on the southern region of California and includes 10 cities, 3 of which are entirely new to the world of American Truck Simulator. Drivers working in this region can make deliveries to and from the cities of Bakersfield, Santa Maria, Oxnard, Mojave, Barstow, Indio, Blythe, Los Angeles, San Diego, and El Centro. Similar to previous phases, much of the original base map was removed and reworked entirely from the ground up including the cities' surrounding areas.

The team also focused on reworking key routes, including major coastal highways such as the US-101, CA-1, and I-5. In addition, several other important routes have been revamped, such as the CA-58, CA-14, and CA-99, along with interstates I-10, I-15, I-40, and I-8, which serve as vital connections to neighboring U.S. states.

There is also now Dynamic Cargo (Un)loading!

In the 1.53 update, The Fifth Generation Cascadia from Freightliner has been implemented into Driving Academy.

A new Special Transport Update!

Plus so much more!

Had only a couple of rides between LV-LA-Kingman.
Even in a nighttime you can notice that the outskirts of reworked Californian cities look much more populated ;D. For some reason, they removed the service station from Santa Maria, maybe, it will be back in the case of mass complains.

The German reworked cities do not excite me a whole lot.  I guess it's how SCS chose to rework Germany.  I figure I will see them when I see them.

I am excited about Greece and the California rework.  Downloading both updates now.

I wish the Greece DLC released during Thanksgiving break.  Oh well, driving the new Southern California.  It's awesome! Such an improvement.

I feel this.  I am of course working when they release it.

Looking at the map of Greece and the roads along the coast to the west are SUPER SUPER curvy. :D  This is the region that has those white-building villages.

I don't know about all of you, but things are really cold here right now.  Time to head to some place warm!

And the next year, after four southern DLCs (2019, 2021, 2023, 2024), we will go exploring the new cold places ;D.
