Good eye.  Finally we will get some falling snow.  I am surprised they didn't mention that as a new feature.

The latest generation of the most powerful truck in both *TS games is available! Unlike American manufacturers who started to cut the most powerful options, here the top engine has been boosted (by increasing the displacement from 16 to 17 liters) to 780 HP and 3800 N·m — expecting to see 800 and 4000 in the future generation ;D. Just like a new Cascadia, the exterior of the basic cab has not changed visually so much, but we have a new «Aero» face (where you can see some genes from Renault T ;D) and a fourth cab size option named XXL (the same height as XL, but a bit longer) — that means there are eight cabs in total. Of course, how can the 2024 truck can be without full LED headlights and «digital» mirrors? The lineup of chassis is full from the start, so you don’t need to wait for the next update to built your favorite 8×4 truck, but there are no Volvo Tuning Pack details... for now.
So, I have a new truck to drive into reworked German cities ;D.

The new top engine is not only more powerful, but more quiet as well.
I don’t really like these small tachometers designed by Volvo. This time they took some 1960's Chevrolet speedometer with a vertical arrow and downsided it several times ;D.

Also, for not leaving the gap between FH6 and FH4, FH5 is released as well!
Technically it is closer to FH4 (the same engines, but Euro 6), but with a new dashboard and some little improvements made in 2016-2020 production years. Unlike the FH6, here we have a full set of tuning pack options.

I just realized what is missing in Winterland . . . why is there no car traffic?  Lol!  Also it seems your truck is repaired every time you go there.

Yes your truck is repaired when you enter there.  So if you wreck your truck, enter Winterland and it will be fixed.

The lack of traffic is part of that dream-like zen... I guess? :D

The camera mirrors from FH6 seem to have higher brightness boost than T680 has.

Also... after the classic US trucks, the dashboard without a single round dial looks too alien .

The brighter lights at night can be too bright.  I prefer dimmer.  I am sure the real truck has an option.

Judging from the buttons, Kenworth allows you only to move the picture, while Volvo has adjustable day/night modes. And... OFF button? I think this stuff must be on all the time .

I'd rather just look at a non-digital mirror if we are being honest.

I knew it!  I have the evidence now!  SCS has been going back to old ATS map DLC's without tell us and have been updating sections of the map.  I have evidence!  They have been changing intersections as well as entire depots.  SCS is adding new business names and spreading them all over the map! There are dozens if not more changes.  But a few changes I can easily point out are...

The Voltison Motors in Spokane has now become a Lumen Auto.

The Walbert depot, Charged depot, and Home Store depot in Wenatchee have become Enterpriser, StarBridge, and Venture.

The Walbert store in Everett, Olympia, and Kennewick have become Shop Town stores.  Walbert's still exist.  Shop Town seems to be a red colored Walmart to a Target... kinda.

I have noticed SCS has been changing ai cars and completely redesigning old ones too.  It seems they are removing REAL LIFE references to a lot of them.

OK, so that is the reason I had a micro-update with economy reset, luckily, not during a delivery for 2000 miles .
Today on SCS’s YT page we have a walk-around of fresh Iveco.
I bet the next such video will be about Volvo FH Aero.

Looks like they did it in Oregon too.  I will have to check other states.
