It's fitting it's raining because it can signify the pain being washed off.  Not all at once, but slowly.

I think you nailed the symbolism for sure.  If that wasn't intended, it fits perfectly.  I'd pretend it was intended.  Great response.

XD Didn't even think of it, was just showing how messy it was under the shackles and the rain washing the blood off slowly.
It's less painful now that they're off, but also now the rain washes them, which makes them sting a bit

The big creature huffed lightly and started to tip its head back "Rrrh... Hhrr..." its lips curl up revealing the lethal teeth that just crushed an ulvbear's neck.

Then it throws its head back "RrhhhRHRR..." and then it jerks its head down "RRHH'KSSHUUH!"

Aiyame lightly places her hand on it's front leg "Oh my... Miwa e Rih"

And slowly the rain washes the blood out of it's fur

Oh wow its at 7 pages already daang and 25th page out of... 50 so halfway!

The beast settled down sniffing lightly, Aiyame climbed over its front leg and started to clean up around the wounds.

As she cleaned the wound on it's neck, it let out a slight pained growl.

"I'm sorry I know it hurts..." Aiyame said softly.

When she was done she smiled at the beast "There! Isn't that better?"

[Umeko]

Aiyame waves as she turns around "Run along now big fella!" She smiles "I'm going to leave your forest now"


The beast looks at her as she continues "Thank you for saving my life and for not eating me!" She giggled and then she went back into the forest.

The beast can't tear it's eyes away from her, keep looking after her.

[Umeko]

The beast turns it's head feeling an urge to go after her.

It looks down at it's front leg where the shackles used to be and its cleaned.

It closes it's eyes for a moment having an inner struggle.

Then it slowly stands up as the adrenaline is starting to leave it's body, so its starting to feel the effect from the fight plus the deep wounds.

Then it opens it's eyes and...

The beast took off after the girl.


Aiyame had gone back the way she came just reaching a smallish clearing.

When she feels the ground rumble and something coming crashing down the path.

She turns her head, tears in her eyes from crying as she walked through the forest, not knowing what she should do now.


She blinks "What's that noise? Another ulvbear?"

As Aiyame looks back she sees something huge jump over her, making her crouch down and scream.

Hearing a crash in front of her, she looks up while smoothing her hair back.

The big beast stood before her, it's big wing held over her to shield her from the rain.

It's red eyes glowing faintly in the dark.

It's too dark for her to see properly.

Aiyame looks up at the beast "What is it? What do you want?" then she giggles "No! You can't follow me home! I... don't have a home to give you..."

The beast perks its ears looking down and sees a wound on the girl's right leg

The beast crouches down low, its eyes starting to glow blue, Aiyame looks at it "What are you doing?"
Then the beast opens it's mouth and licks her leg.
She blinks in surprise "Why are you licking my leg?"
Then she sees the saliva over her wound light up blue, the gash in her leg turns white, she gasps.
As the glow fades so does the gash "Its healing..." and then the glow fades completely "It's gone!" Aiyame looks at it in awe
