I was talking to my friend. I'm beyond mad at what happened. They're letting the dumbass girl who doesn't know jack and does Jack pass and keep being in the vet program, but are kicking my friend out of the program, despite being one of the smartest kids in our class.

The dumbass girl is only passing because she has "accommodations" and they're lenient on her. Which is bullcrap. You don't get "accomodations" when doing surgery on an animal or diagnosing an animal. Ugh. I hate people who use their disabilities like a crutch.

That is horrible.  So since your friend is one of the smartest in class, why are they kicking her out?

She messed up on some quiz or two. And she was .2 points off from the cut off grade. And the teacher didn't want to round. Despite it being like .89. It's a shame. They're making her change her major now.

Okay, that is horrible.  I was thinking maybe somehow your friend had like a 60 grade (D) but still having a B+ letter grade and not being able to continue?  That is messed up.

No, no, she was .2 off, and she was hoping the teacher would round up the .89 up to the next number. So she'd make the passing 76 required. She passed lecture with an 89, but lab she didn't. And even though they're supposed to combine the grades to get an average, this teacher didn't. And if you fail lab she doesn't let you pass the class.

She is pretty mean and a harsh professor. But she is pretty chill other times. But she takes no crap from anyone. It's weird. I have mixed feelings on her.

I'd like to see that professor depend on something minor like that, and get denied it.  They are ruining a kids future and dream because of their stubbornness.  I would say no as a prof if it is several points, but that point amount is so miniscule.

Yeah, exactly. And that's what upsets her, along with the fact that class dummy somehow is allowed to pass.

Can they bring it up to some organization within the school or some council?  Not sure how the school does things there.

That is so not right by that professor. 

I'm sure she has a low rating on "Rate my professor" for pulling stunts like this.  That isn't right. She's wielding what little power she has in her life on a student who has hopes and dreams for future she is purposely choosing to stop.

She tried last year. And they can't do anything unless the teacher changes the grade.
