Well known? I don't know about that. His art is good, but it's simple, almost plain, which I apologize for saying. I know he's a corner stone in our community but... I'll be honest. Before I joined the community I actually wasn't a fan of MasterX's art. It was more Rainy's Art that made me come here.

I'm sure if you looked hard enough you could find it.

I understand.  Rainy's art is beautiful in his way.  I love his art too.  It has this softness, lightness to it.  Almost carefree, but done for a reason.

I feel MasterX draws better on the other stuff he does, honestly.  I see him doing something radical like a crazy 80s action cartoon with intense shading and colors.  But I guess we won't ever know.

And to this day I still remember the image that brought me to PSF 1.0. I respect Rainy for that in a weird way. Because all the other sneeze art I actually disliked, because in my head I got bored of the same AJM style. Wanted more. Wanted more detail to the fetishy stuff. Call me greedy if you want.

Huh, well I don't think I've seen him draw other stuff. But I can see him doing stuff like that. He does use thick lines, so it could work.

I really think MasterX truly masked his work to look nothing like what he actually does.  That is just my guess.

Do you remember what piece of Rainy's brought you to PSF? :)

See, I was drawn in by a mix of people.  It was MasterX, Rainy, ProPony, and APD later on.

Hi Miggs.  *Pats you on the back.*

I don't know why, but I actually wanted to hug you.  I am in a hugging mood.  I resisted though.

Mmmmmmmmm, I doubt it. Because his art does improve over time. If he were truly downgrading his abilities to not look similar to his other art it would stay consistent.

Odd that I don't have a soft spot for Lyra because of this piece. But at the time I did hate Lyra, so... I'll let that speak for itself on bringing me here.

I liked 3P's art. It was crisp and clean, smooth. And while simple and show style she did include fetishy nostril flares and stuff. How could APD draw you in if you were already part of the community when he joined and started doing art?

Not if you'd never drawn ponies before.  When he started, ponies were still new.  People improve over time no matter what it is they start with.

I don't know.  I just always liked APD's cartoony thick lines and no thrills, simple, clean art.  It was colorful.

Oh my gosh, and I am forgetting Silverwing.  I liked P3's, but to me it had wide swings of being either really good, or really bad.  It was inconsistent, but I liked it still.  The goods were great.

That is saying a lot about the Lyra.  What drew you in with that piece specifically?

I wish Rainy would draw some art like that again!  I know his new work is beautiful and colorful, but I also like the simplicity of this sketch art like this.  Silverwing sort of does sketches now, but doesn't color.

I think APD kinda set things in stone for me, but there wouldn't have been any stone to begin with if it weren't for the others

I think that made sense idk.

Fun topic.  MasterX was the gold standard to me.  His art was pinnacle in the beginning, but then around him he had a strong foundation I felt that was then followed by RainySunshine.  I also place Silverwing and APD in the top ring there.  All are different and good in certain ways.  I love for example, APD's ability to produce super good quality, and colorful pieces, with any character in the rainbow.  He just does it all, and I love that.  It is a good balance of quantity and quality.

Silverwing was never a colorer.  But Sudo starts coloring, and I have colored for Silver too. :)
