Hm I don't know. You guys started being big community around mid season 2 right? So, eh? I'm not convinced really. You're saying he down scaled to change his identity up which would require consistency since he was doing it on purpose. I just think that's how he actually and usually draws, hence why you see improvement.

I like his stuff too, but it didn't "draw me in" as I was already "in". I still love his work, it's great and cute and nice.

Silverwing has good human work. I think he started posting after I joined... I may not be certain. But yeah. I'm not too big a fan of the humans though. 3P's early art wasn't as good. They weren't as crisp, had black backgrounds and had odd poses and no real fetishy stuff. Her later stuff was almost always high quality stuff.

It was cute, it was cold sneezing which I LOVE. It was nice facial expression, and the tissues and how she held the box, it was cute. I needed to see more. So I clicked the link. And ended up on PSF.1 but whoever was doing the linking back then did it kind of weird. So I couldn't get access to the whole site because they had only linked the post or something. I later found it again and recognized it. So I stayed.

I do like when Rainy does the thick black lines too, as it is a nice job, and really cute. But I do prefer his soft lines.

I think he does darker black lines now probably because it is easier to color.  That's just a guess.    Cool story how you got here.

MasterX's first pic on Deviant Art was in 2012.  But I know his stuff was earlier then that.  He created the DA later to host it in one place.  We might have to ask him one day.

Perhaps. I always got the feel it was somewhat to be similar to what the crowd really seemed to be digging then. The thick black lines like APD. I remember one piece of Rarity he did where some people in the thread kept telling APD good job when it was his. Since it looked so similar.

Early one, people were digging the Scootaquest series.  It sort of started a grouping of sneeze fetishists I think.  So other artists mimicked it's style to draw in more.  But then it kept changing from there.  Rainy was the first of the "elite" artists to do something truly different.  There were also sidelines like GeniusArtStuff, and some others I don't remember.

According to DA, Rainy's first piece was an anthro pic and it is labeled 2014.  Early on, Rainy did a lot of anthro stuff.

Rainy's DA was really late.  He did his stuff much earlier.  He, like MasterX, made it to host his art so it wouldn't get lost in MLPChan.

Hence why I actually didn't like MasterX's work. Or AJM's. It was "boring" to me. It was labeled sneeze fetish but it didn't feel fetishy to me. But no one except MasterX mimicked the style. 3P had show accurate vexels, Rainy started with anthro's, SneezeFetishPony.... Did whatever. And SneezeAnon did line colored sketches. There was SneezyApplejack who did high quality vectors. But again, in show style with black lines. Not really AJM Scootaquest style.

Rainy really hasn't done anthro recently so it's a bit hard to judge.
