Yes, those eyes!  they're very large and languid, aren't they? Like a Margaret Keane painting come to life.



Another Christmas cartoon along these lines, featuring two precious orphans and a Scrooge-like guardian.  It's rather cute, actually.  Not to be confused with Deck The Halls  With Wacky Walls, which was apparently a 30-minute animated commercial for crappy rubber cereal box toys.

Yes,  Margaret Keane.  She was known for her BIG EYED people drawings.  Many viewed them as alien humanoids.
