If you take horse biology into account, Twilight could be a fully grown adult at age 3.  Mentally, not so much, but it might explain why adult ponies can act so dumb sometimes.
Spike, OTOH, might not physically look like a teenager till he's like 50 if he doesn't age spontaneously due to greedstuff.

If getting one's cutie mark is an allegory for a girl getting a period (or, for a guy, I guess the closest equivalent would be a wet dream), then the CMC's would be the equivalent of 11-or 12-year-olds, right?  Twilight was a bit younger than that when she received the egg that would be our little dragon hero.  So there's probably no more than 7 or 8 years difference between them.

I know it seems it parallels, but I don't think so.  Yeah, it is coming of age, but it can happen anytime in one's life.  You can be old, really young.  It's just when you figure out your special skill... or talent.

That was pretty good.  Starlight even waited just long enough that Twilight had made her breakfast, then she took it to eat it.  Very good timing, Starlight.

This takes the conversation to a whole new area with those plots.  Both seem like winners to me.

Strange how they seem to have the same size butt but Starlight isn't accused of having a fat butt. Unless they're showing all her snacking has made her a fat.

How can you tell Twi has more padding?  Princess padding, yes.  She is a princess, Starlight is not. ;)

I am looking real close (because I am apparently a nut case) and I am having a hard time choosing who has more padding based on this pic

Idk. The stats said at the moment last night, the thread had 2,222 posts. So I checked, and mine was the last comment.

Pull out the ruler to your screen.  Check width and height.  ;)  Fully across, and from one cheek end to the other.  GO!
