One of the better episodes, that not everyone will get I don't think.  I really like it.  Well played, Greg, but also kind of risky.  Added depth to him.

Hm, just read the one before it. Twi's get expression in panel 2 and 3 were just ugh! Heart breaking. Greg, dun do dat. You gave her a sad. But it was nice to see him want to take her out somewhere and have fun.

And then at the ice rink. We once again witness Twilight's legendary ice skating. It's great haha. I wonder if Greg's sneaking a peek there in that last panel.

I think Greg is too nice to take a glance like that.  He comes off as sort of a respectful fellow who wouldn't take advantage of situations.

So is Greg too perfect in your guys eyes?  He did lose Twi's fanfic, and he did sort of do a dangerous move on the phone with her.  I don't think he is perfect.  We get that impression of him probably because he smiles so much.

Eh, he does come off as overly perfect. He has no innate flaws within his character. Forgetting something once doesn't mean you're forgetful, and making a risky cheesy date pickup line isn't a flaw in character.

So yes, he is perfect. And if you look closer, yeah, he's a Mary Sue. But he's entertaining enough that on the surface you don't notice.
