...and noticed they update Tonapah.  When did that do that?

In update 1.34 ;D. Unlike Las Vegas update, rework of Tonopah didn’t change much, so no wonder if it can be easily missed.
Speaking about Nevada, I drive there much less time than it was before Idaho DLC release — now it’s mostly the deliveries to Primm and LV. Also, deliveries from southwest part of Colorado to Washington no longer include the visit of Glenwood Canyon since there is a shorter way through Wyoming.

Spain is so dense.  It will be nice to drive some smaller motorways.  My only complain with Spain is how there are no smaller roads to drive, so this will be a welcome addition. :)

I was reading through comments by people complaining how the cities in Spain don't seem like the real cities and they aren't accurate to how they feel or are laid out.  I don't know this obviously.  I would say they do a great job in ATS to matching the real cities on a smaller scale.  So are they not the same on ETS2 or are these just people complaining and whining over minor things?  Hmmm.  [think]

This is awesome!  They are really loving the Iberian Peninsula!  I love seeing all these new roads!

Also on a random note, I drove through Nevada for the first time in... a long time... and noticed they update Tonapah.  When did that do that?  Maybe when they updated Las Vegas?  I noticed they updated various parts of the roads in Nevada and but complete redid Tonapah.  I can't say they did great with Tonapah, it seems a little too... not lived in, but they did something. :D They even made new buildings for it.

Lol! They did it awhile ago dude.  The only thing Vegas is missing now is the southern freeway.  Instead of forcing us to drive north to loop around the city to head back south, they need to complete the full LV freeway loop with I-215. :D  This is a minor gripe.

Loving the new roads.  Can't wait to drive them... granted I have tons of roads I still need to drive all throughout Europe. ;D  I'm roughly at 78% driven.

It’s still a big percentage!
My current ETS profile (after 151 hours and 54 levels) has 76,89% and almost all roads are opened. To open more than 80-85% in ETS, you must visit a lot of bases, which is very time-consuming procedure ;D. Those people who open 100% are real maniacs :-0.

Also, I like the approach of the map creators — they say there are new people and SCS chiefs are testing them by making these little additions.

I wow, we are all similar.  I am at 79% explored in ETS2.  I have no idea what my rank is. ;D

And ATS, because of lower number of cities, has more percentage — 88,24% after 150,5 hours and 56 levels.
I wonder what level would I have if I played with the same profile since 2016 instead of starting a new one after every New Year :D.
But... the interest to this game is lowered when I have twenty garages and can buy and fill another one during a time of one long ride, receiving a message about driver’s income every five minutes.

My time exceeds 900 hours in ETS (since 08.2016) and 800 hours in ATS (since 02.2017), so all of us are casual *TS gamers, since there are people who can make 1200+ per year* :-0, which actually can be dangerous for their health.
BTW, I realized than my introducing to ATS was almost identical to how I started watching the EqG ;D — in both cases I watched/played the main series and completely ignored their spin-offs, then only after several months I took the courage to look at them, and... I liked both of them.

*(some crazy dudes who make 10-12-hour streams are probably among them)

I don't know how people can play 1200 hrs in a year. ;D  Lol!  It has taken me since a year after ETS2 came out to reach my number!  Lol!

Combined, my ETS2 and ATS are just over 1,000 hours. ;D  I consider myself a super fan of this series, and apparently I would be considered not, since I don't have the crazy amount of hours like other people.

I recently logged into my World of Trucks and it said I had over 400 deliveries in ETS2 and 500 in ATS.  So that is a lot if you ask me.  That doesn't include the non-external contracts either.

Well, I put some money into the hardware instead of playing with keyboard on a small monitor, so you can consider me a fan no matter how many hours I spent in the game ;D.

Exactly.  It isn't about the hours you play.  It's the quality of our enjoyment. ;D

Some games can make you a fan almost instantly, if the developers know what button is needed to push ;D. I think, the attention to details was this button for ETS2, which quickly became much more popular than any SCS trucking game before.

Why I initially enjoyed ETS2 was the ability to explore Europe and seeing places (snippets of places) I have never been too.  Now as time has moved on, I know a lot of those places look nothing like their real life counterparts, but they are getting better at that, lol.

The same was the reason for ATS, but they did a much better job at making the places look and feel like their real life counterparts.  They started later than ETS2 and figured out what their goals were early with this game and it shows in the detail of their worlds.  I feel like you almost need at ETS3 to capture the same level of details as ATS has been doing with their realistic layouts and towns.

Plus I like driving, relaxing.  No stress, no racing for a win, just driving... listening to the radio, or just silence. :)
