Russia - I am so happy these industrial areas are living up to what we want.  Gritty, dirty, rust!! It gets you in the mood to do some heavy industry trucking!  Photos looked great!  Silly question, image six has a blue car at the lower right.  Is that a new car?  I like how it looks. I noticed as well they used a lot of the older trucks in this batch of photos, especially the older DAF model.  I wonder if there is any significance to that?

California Rework - Possibly the best blog post I've seen in years by SCS.  Well written and very detailed.  I loved how in-depth they went and they seemed very open about sharing ideas and plans.  I really appreciate this and hope all of it comes true.  I don't think they went into Phase 2 thinking they would be doing all this work, and here they are.... DOING ALL THIS WORK. ;D

Can anyone read what the side of this building says? Maybe translate it somewhat?

Piece a cake ;D.

«Windows, Siding, Roof, Tiles, Linoleum, Doors, PCV and MDF panels, Artifical Stone, Laminate».
So, looks like it’s a store with building materials.

I knew you'd come around with an answer sooner or later, lol! Thank you!  Sounds like a hardware supply store!

Some giant HOME DEPOT-like malls are expanding through the world, but some small stores located in (or near) old factory sites are still exist ;D.

I love variety, so I am excited to entering a new country where I don't understand a single word, lol!

In all the other European countries... to some degree in ETS2, I can understand the basics.  And over time, I have learned what certain words mean.  But cyrillic, I have not even the slightest clue.  Sometimes I think I know a word, but I am always wrong. ;D

SCS did a nice job at mimicking Home Depot hardware stores.

I wonder if they will ever do Lowe's Hardware?

They also have really improved their Walmart/Walbert stores and Charged/Best Buy stores. ;D

They have a few different Walbert prefabs made now.  I can think of three distinct store ones.  An older style one, and two more modern style ones.  I didn't include the warehouse depots they have for them.

Also there are at least two different Charged prefabs now.

Just one Home Depot store.  I forgot what they call it in the game.

Also, I doubt the map will extend to Georgia and Armenia, but their letters are noteworthy too.

It is called Home Store.  Which is actually close to the name of a national US store as well.  But it isn't a hardware company.  They are known as 'Home Goods.'

Ha!  I don't think they will make it there.  Asia Truck Simulator anyone?  I don't think they should overextend though.  They are working hard on ETS and ATS first. ;D  Plus the lack of google street view will make them have to guess much more about what they are doing.

Which is why I wonder if they are just guessing based off satellite maps when doing Germany. ;D  That is why Belarus will maybe NEVER be in the game!
