I wonder will the new DAF XD will be announced officially after this expo?
Although, I am more interested in new Kenworth T680.

I watched this video of a guy testing the new open beta 1.49 for ATS and driving into the PACCAR testing center.  There is a DAF XG in the facility (which apparently this isn't the easter egg).  But this is the first time there has been crossover among the games in terms of trucks.  An ETS truck in ATS. Pretty cool if you ask me.

Yes!  DAF is under the PACCAR family of brands.  DAF trucks are also tested at the facility in real life.  If you visit in person, you will see Euro trucks there as well as the American trucks.  (Personal experience)

Two new oversized cargoes for ATS 1.49!

Again, some items which will remain unnoticed by people who don’t use the Special Transport DLC content . Anyway, the wind turbine blade looks simple, but impressive.

Tomorrow there will be a stream with new DAF XD presentation.

As the brochure from the official site says, this model has engines from 300 to 450 hp. Not the better choice for hauling a locomotive, although, the 300-hp one actually have 1450 Nm torque instead of 1300 Nm in Iveco 310-hp engine, so, the bottom engine of the game is still not surpassed . As for new possible top engines, the 770-hp one from Scania is still not in the game, and some comments under new Scania-related videos are already demanding it .

Isn't there a a new DLC besides Kansas coming too?

There is the rumored Farming DLC that will release with the Kansas DLC.  Plus new trucks in both games.

I wish more DLCs to be updated . We already had some new tires in 2020 from Michelin, and new tuning parts for 2016 Scania truck from Mighty Griffin. Oh, and the big update of Cabin Accessories. Other tuning/trailer/cargo DLCs, expect the Special Transport, have the same content as they had at the day of release.

I had no idea about the natural ai.  I like that a lot. It means they are working on the car ai.

First regional truck is here!

So, the DAF XF’s little brother is released! In this generation, the naming convention was changed (instead of XF, CF and LF there are XF, XD and XB), and the cabin has the same width as in full-size model, the difference is the height — to compensate this, of course, there are low and high spoilers.

I don’t really like its price — not only the daycab (first one in ETS, by the way) hasn’t the cheapest interior option which is present for the sleeper cab, but the basic cost of this model is higher than XF. I don’t believe it is true for real life trucks .
Also, if you have the daycab, the sideskirts are not available. With the bigger cabs, you can buy them, although there are no «aluminium shovel» option like XF/XG has . As for the biggest advantage of the new truck — its blind spots are noticeably smaller than full-size models have. The daycab has the optional rear window, so yo can look at your trailer just like in ATS.
So, I took the 300-hp engine and go to test it with the appropriate cargo. Wish me luck .

Cool.  It looks like the other truck, but still cool.  I wonder if anyone will treat it as a regional truck though?  If it can do everything the larger one can, what's the point of having a regional truck?  Lol.  Still, cool we got a new truck that looks like another truck. 

"Appropriate cargo" lol.  See, right there.  Someone using a regional truck for not regional trucking needs.  My point has been validated.

The «distribution» truck must be cheaper than the full-size one .
For some reason, we didn’t see this in the game.
