Hmm, I saw a similar sign earlier... ;D
So, shortly after the previous events were concluded, the new one appears! People of the world are waiting for the Vaccine, so now it‘s our turn to deliver it.

Hmmm.  I like the truck color schemes... wish those could be a reward.  Lol.

I might not do this one. Not enough rewards.

Totally a dumb thought I had in my head... really dumb.

Imagine if you had a food and water meter.  I don't want this in the game!  But just imagine if you did.... they could make you buy snacks at gas stations or make use of some of the restaurants being able to get food and water.

But again... I DON'T WANT THIS IN THE GAME.  Lol!  It was just a thought.

I like the idea of making things more interactive, but yeah, this is not an idea I would want implemented.

I do like the MORE gas stations being interactive.

Speaking about gas stations: in any Hard Truck 2 fan community you always will found some people who whines about «why, why ETS/ATS have hold a button-and-wait filling system, instead of point an amount-and-click, like it was in Hard Truck 2», despite that point-and-click system has been actually made in SCS’s first trucking game, and added to HT2 only in re-release version a year later ;D (early HT2 version had an instant refueling for any vehicle). I always had a thought that SCS have changed the refueling system because players asked to do something that will require more player’s involvement, and now players wish to make a Train Sim World-like interaction, but I rather wish to see more trucks and roads ;D.
P.S. Do you remember my post about a new monitor? So, for almost a month after its buying, I have played roughly 10-12 hours  — a lot of work suddenly came in first new year’s days, so I would rather sleep than play. It looks like tempting fate — when you buy a new monitor and install a steering wheel on an adjustable rig (which gaves much more comfortable position), something unexpected comes in and prevents you from enjoying your new setup . But thank goodness, now the workload is lowered, and I can truck a little harder. My last observations show that Ultrawide picture aspect ratio gives totally different feeling of truck size in ATS (nothing have changed, just the picture is bigger) and ETS (if align the mirror with an edge of screen, you sit too close to windshield and have a screwed feeling of size — there was a lot of crashes into narrow passages, before I made a wider FOV ;D). So, I love a new toy, but there was some time of getting used to it. And I had a chance to finally place a gearbox lever to the right, but it returned to the left after a half on a hour, because after four years of switching with a left hand, now it’s easier to tie the latter to my body to prevent reflectory trying to find a lever when I need to select another gear. It’s like you forget your wrist watch at home, but still look on your wrist when you want to see what time is it.
As usual, I started a new profile for a new year, and I found out that the cheapest basic wheels can look nice when the truck’s color matches them 8).

UPD:
I see making Sunday posts about map expansions is becoming their trend for this year (like with Saturday in 2020). I can’t say I am really interested in toll booth design, but I admit they can look pretty cute. More important news for me is that double trailers for Spain are officially confirmed ^-^. Also, I love the «end of tunnel» sign on the first screenshot. Most countries don’t have it in use (unlike popular «tunnel ahead» sign), but I see some countries require that Captain Obvious-like thing ;D.

So much to respond too.  I would like to have more gas stations you can stop at, but I don't have an issue with how gas is put in your truck.  I know people want to be able to get out and walk around too, but that will just take more time, something I know that would get tedious after time.

Congrats on that rig still, Timmelon.  It seems normal that when you get something you want to use that is all new and shiny, something prevents you.  Hope you get more time soon.  Also interesting how you start with a new save each year. I wonder which year you've progressed furthest?

Toll Booths..... I hate them.  Lol.  I hate having to stop at them.  So I hope there is a scan version that I don't have to stop at.  I also don't care much about toll booth design, but they look nice.

Oops ;D.
It seems normal that when you get something you want to use that is all new and shiny, something prevents you.
There was some epic example when I bought a joystick in 2006, and the time when I really started to use it came more than 10 years later — shortly after buying I suddenly found another type of games I like, and only a long time after I returned to that flightsim.
I wonder which year you've progressed furthest?
Well, if you count the percentage of explored map, every next year has more progress (despite the growth of game territory) — today I try to open new roads in every ride, and earlier I could do several deliveries on the same road, if I considered that route as very profitable.
If you count the number of hired drivers and garages, it was 2017. 2018 brought us buyable trailers which ate some of money which were earlier spent on trucks, and in 2019 I changed a strategy of hiring and started to give drivers only the trucks I want to drive too (previously I had a lot of garages with basic trucks only for hired drivers and a smaller amount of garages where I kept truck bought for me), so the average price of my company’s truck increased. There is no real need of having a lot of drivers. Of course, it’s cool when they give you enough money to buy a garage with 5 trucks and 6 trailers every 3 hours of gameplay, but it means your mission is complete, and people with such income don’t drive trucks ;D.

I love that road from Bari to Bologna where all toll booths are located out of a freeway, so you can drive almost 800 km without stopping. ;D

Those are some fine looking toll booths... I know nothing makes me exciting to hit the road in my big rig than having to stop and handing the government over my hard earned money.... :P

I despise toll roads.  I didn't know Spain had toll roads.  I am slightly saddened.  This is what has kept me out of France and Italy... tolls.

MasterX's question about Timmelon's progress yearly made me think too.  There are certain routes I know that make money, and I will do those.  But usually I will do random routes to places.  I don't stick to one area.

As for what I buy for my drivers, it usually starts out as my old truck.  Then a time progresses I give them the same nice trucks as me.  I usually have one garage I store all my "personal" trucks I like to switch in-and-out of just for fun and something different. :)

The road stripes as you leave the toll booths in Iberia remind me of race track stripes at the finish line. :)

Well, the arrival to some Iberian city after a (4+)-hour journey from S-Pb. or Istanbul can be better than a finish of a race ;D.

Maybe a nice break would be on Spain's coast with some beautiful beaches.  :)
