Speaking about gas stations: in any
Hard Truck 2 fan community you always will found some people who whines about «why, why
ETS/ATS have hold a button-and-wait filling system, instead of point an amount-and-click, like it was in
Hard Truck 2», despite that point-and-click system
has been actually made in SCS’s first trucking game, and added to
HT2 only in re-release version a year later

(early
HT2 version had an instant refueling for any vehicle). I always had a thought that SCS have changed the refueling system because players asked to do something that will require more player’s involvement, and now players wish to make a
Train Sim World-like interaction, but I rather wish to see more trucks and roads
P.S. Do you remember my post about a new monitor? So, for almost a month after its buying, I have played roughly 10-12 hours

— a lot of work suddenly came in first new year’s days, so I would rather sleep than play. It looks like tempting fate — when you buy a new monitor and install a steering wheel on an adjustable rig (which gaves much more comfortable position), something unexpected comes in and prevents you from enjoying your new setup

. But thank goodness, now the workload is lowered, and I can truck a little harder. My last observations show that Ultrawide picture aspect ratio gives totally different feeling of truck size in
ATS (nothing have changed, just the picture is bigger) and
ETS (if align the mirror with an edge of screen, you sit too close to windshield and have a screwed feeling of size — there was a lot of crashes into narrow passages, before I made a wider FOV

). So, I love a new toy, but there was some time of getting used to it. And I had a chance to finally place a gearbox lever to the right, but it returned to the left after a half on a hour, because after four years of switching with a left hand, now
it’s easier to tie the latter to my body to prevent reflectory trying to find a lever when I need to select another gear. It’s like you forget your wrist watch at home, but still look on your wrist when you want to see what time is it.
As usual, I started a new profile for a new year, and I found out that the cheapest basic wheels can look nice when the truck’s color matches them

.

UPD:
I see making Sunday posts about map expansions is becoming their trend for this year (like with Saturday in 2020). I can’t say I am really interested in toll booth design, but I admit they can look pretty cute. More important news for me is that double trailers for Spain are officially confirmed

. Also, I love the «end of tunnel» sign on the first screenshot. Most countries don’t have it in use (unlike popular «tunnel ahead» sign), but I see some countries require that Captain Obvious-like thing
