And look, no one in the SCS Blog comments complaining about the lack of ATS updates.  You know?  Because ATS commenters have common sense and aren't fussy!  They know stuff is being worked on and don't constantly complain!  Ahhh, it feels good to point out the obvious.

Oh wait... the very first comment to the blog is an ETS2 player COMPLAING.  oh my gosh...   ::|

Its commenters like these that make me SUPER upset.

"Lmao, so we've waited 4 months more for this? You could've at least added some national roads decreasing the gaps between: Zaragoza- Toulouse, Ciudad real- Teruel, Zaragoza-Valladolid and finally Murcia-Granada. Wont buy the dlc. not worth it" - Tarek

"no Pyrenees?
no islands?" -alain10

"Wait... what? No A4 highway in Portugal? One of the most importants highway to Spain? Well I'm disappointed with that huge hole in the northeast of Portugal... The North of Portugal, which is the engine of the Portuguese economy, is only represented by Porto, Coimbra and Guarda..." - Pensador

"Yeah sorry you can add all the content you want. Until you start fixing the most important issues of the game like all that shimmering and that terrible aliasing, that you are ignoring release after release, i am never EVER going to support SCS. Sorry, im not stupid." - Gohn

"Why there is no Andorra? And no Mallorca? You should stop skipping countries / regions." - TruckingFanC#

"SCS waking up and actually giving us something.
finally " - a10

"That map is absolute bull****, only highways... In France, Germany, etc. Everything is full of secondary roads, but f*** Spain and Portugal I guess... I'm not buying that and I have every single DLC, that's not how you do it. 4 months delay for that? SMH." - cas

"We deserve more than this after waiting four months.  This is just more of the same garbage from SCS.  They only care about ATS anymore.  Not us true and original supporters." - Delovia69

So I am a little confused.

Iberia is lit up, bit it also shows the UK and much of mainland Europe sort of highlighted.  Is that just showing what the original game had without the addition of DLCs?

There is no denying the ETS2 community has it's share of toxic players.  It will eventually happen on the ATS side too (but we can only hope it doesn't).  SCS doesn't deserve comments like that.

That is exactly what it is showing.  The base (original map) plus the new DLC as well as all the other DLCs.

I bet this update is even better!

So, the next state after Wyoming will not be Montana, but I don’t have any right to complain ;D. First of all, the maximum route length will be increased for the first time since Washington DLC release in 2019. Then, we will finally make our first coast-to-coast deliveries — like in 18WoS:AA sixteen years ago ;D. Also, there is almost no excuses for not adding the cattle trailers (and, possibly, fuel tanks) to the game. As for Texas itself, I have absolutely no doubt the quality will be at least on Colorado or Washington level.

And the entire ATS community exploded with joy.  It really seems like the ATS development team can makes things faster and better looking than the ETS2 team.  I realize the ETS team has to research and make different country signs too... thought I guess states have different signs as well.  Hmmm.

How can it get any better than this? Iberia is coming soon.  Wyoming is coming soon.  Texas and Russia have been announced!  Good times. :)

Hmm, interesting to see that the light inside truck lamps was made more concentrated — second time! The first correction was in 1.28, before that we had much more primitive light mask.
Then, the comparison of two yellow Peterbilts from 1.39 and 1.40 shows us that they have finally pushed its front wheels deeper into wheel arches — after almost 3,5 years of whining from purists-complainers (not only ETS part of community have them) ;D. Also, I see some of SCS workers also uses one of his monitors in portrait mode, just like me ;D.

Some insider spoilage info.  DO NOT CLICK if you don't want to see it.  It involves DLCs.
Development for Montana is very far along, they just haven't announced it yet.  It is very possible it will be "done" when Montana is finally revealed to the public.  It will give the developers more time to work far ahead on other states, further than anyone expects.  People will think they are working on Montana when in reality they will be virtually done with it and already working on other states not announced.
