Good thing they released it the next day, the ATS  comments were getting bombarded by angry ETS2 players... again.

Which means with 1.40 out, Iberia is COMING REALLY SOON!

At 4:00-5:00 am there is a funny bug with cheater’s mirors: the picture in them looks brighter, like the sunrise was a bit earlier there ;D.

Iberia is COMING REALLY SOON!
Yes, they added some new roads near the border.
(and the toll booth sign was remade too ;D)

Oh no.  I haven't had time to test out 1.40 and now they have it ready for both games?  Whatever will I do?  Lol!

Iberia coming out Thursday, April 15th or possibly the Thursday after that on the 22nd.  I am pretty confident on that estimate.

1.40 will come out on a Tuesday or a Thursday.

Nicely done. :D

Can't wait to try these new changes in ATS and ETS2.

Another update for ETS2 is incoming...

Updated Renault Trucks To Be Revealed On ETS2, April 6th, 2021
Renault Press Release

"The evolution of Renault trucks T, C and K to be revealed in ETS2...

2021 is set to see developments in the Renault Trucks long-haul (T) and construction (C and K) ranges, in terms of comfort, safety and productivity. For the first time in the HGV sector, the French manufacturer will present its trucks in the Euro Truck Simulator 2 video game and offer a virtual driving experience.

Renault Trucks is offering its fans a new, innovative and interactive experience. On 6 April 2021, the manufacturer will reveal the 2021 evolution of the Renault Trucks T in Euro Truck Simulator 2, the truck driving simulation video game. The exterior design, driving position and cab layout will all be upgraded and everything can be tested virtually in the game.

In 2021, Renault Trucks is upgrading its long-distance (T) and construction (C and K) ranges. This is the most extensive development since the total overhaul of the manufacturer's ranges in 2013.

For the well-being of drivers, Renault Trucks has made major improvements in terms of both driving comfort and on-board comfort. The high level of safety for drivers and road users has also been central to the development of the Renault Trucks T, C and K ranges. For customers, vehicle productivity has also been improved, with ever lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions and increased vehicle availability, due notably to the related Predict predictive maintenance contracts.

On 6 April 2021, you can take a seat in the cab of the Renault Trucks T and T High 2021, test the new ergonomics of the driver's cab and appreciate the comfort of the truck, in urban areas, on regional roads or on motorways. To do this, all you have to do is log on to the Euro Truck Simulator 2 PC game, enjoyed by more than 9 million players worldwide, or share the driving experiences of other players using the hashtag #renaulttrucksevolution on social networks.

In addition, from 29 March 2021, the Euro Truck Simulator 2 gaming community will see the Renault Trucks T 2021 hidden under a red veil in front of the Renault Trucks dealerships in the game. While waiting for the veil to be lifted, Renault Trucks will be offering competitions on its social networks, with many prizes to be won via the hashtag #renaulttrucksevolutioniscoming."

SCS of course has not said anything about this, but Renault sure has.

Well, it’s a cool thing if the truck manufacturer talks about the game ;D.
It shows that they don’t think that it’s not a kid‘s entertainment ;D. Western Star, then Renault... I wonder what manufacturer will be the next one who will not afraid to use the SCS’s games as an advertising platform?
Oh, and Renault T still has some customizing slots with only one option, so maybe we can expect even a tuning pack.

I remember early on, Renault wasn't too found of SCS.  They viewed it that their trucks weren't being shown as good as the others, etc.  Still this is exciting to hear.  SCS will eventually let us all know.

Another thing I noticed while trying 1.40 in ATS and ETS2 is that in photo mode, you can now have the XXXs on non-drivable roads removed! Finally!  Thankyou.  I always did my best to hide these in photos, but now I don't have too.  They will be gone and I can finally take good photos!

So the 1.40 blog updates came out a day apart from one another.  In a rare case, the ATS one has more comments than the ETS2 one, but that will likely change.  Still I can't help but want to point out some of the annoying commenters from the ETS2 community complaining on the ATS blog post not knowing the very next day they would have the same update.  Like honestly people, stop whining!  So ungrateful.

Thankfully there wasn't as much whining as usual.  Overall, both sides of the community seemed to be very positive with the 1.40 update.  The biggest issue seems to be lighting bloom which can be fixed in the settings.

Let's look at some of the ETS2 complainers in the ATS Blog post...

As well as this unhappy fellow in the ETS2 Blog post about the 1.40 update...

But let's end on a positive note with some of the ATS Blog post positive comments, which were 98% of them.

I don't have any positive comments from the ETS2 blog post because most were positive, but critical and just kept asking for more and more improvements and changes to the map and game... but when a purely positive post is posted, I can share it. :D

I know the unhappy and unthankful commenters are annoying but know that the majority of people who don't comment are very happy.  They just don't comment.  People comment to complain.  They write reviews to be angry.

This is exciting!  I hope they don't remove the old truck though from the game.

That is awesome! FINALLY!

Oh, and thanks to new darkness level, if somebody will post the screenshot with a question «Guess where I am?», you have almost no chances to answer correctly ;D.
