This is a good blog post with lots of info. The SCS team did their best to tip-toe on touchy issues that Mr. Putin wouldn't be pleased to read about, lol. (I like to imagine Putin plays ETS2.) Some bits by SCS were, "Whilst Russia maybe known for its very well-used roads..." or how there is no uniform signage throughout the country on road signs with lines like... "as there is quite the variety of them in Russia. Besides the standard road signs on poles, we encountered new challenges, such as hanging signs, dynamic warnings, new horizontal signage, unique railway crossings and many more..." but personally, this all sounds fun! Like a new challenge!
Imagine signs you could easily miss, and maybe accidentally miss your turn! There was the train crossing with no crossing arms or signs, maybe there is now a chance to wreck your truck at them? (Though in the game, both ATS and ETS2, if you manage to get your trucks on the tracks, the trains always stop. I bet most people didn't know that).
Another thing I noticed is with picture 26. People crossing the road? Is this a new hazard we will have to watch out for? Or are they in a non-drivable area?
Overall, this blog post has me excited for the varied roads and crazy signs. Lots of good photos too. Imagine how wild it would be if we drove further east!!
Also let's play COUNT THE LADA'S! How many did you see in the photos?
