Oh wow, you already bought it!  I'm excited to give it a try.  I really like it's older no nonsense look. :D It is a shame about the mirrors, since I like to be in one position and see my left mirror.

Give me some THICC exhaust pipes!!

I love that photo of your truck and the double trail.  I really can't wait to buy this truck and drive it.  I usually drive a new truck around 10,000 miles before I switch to another.  I rotate through my whole fleet that way.

It really looks great, Timmelon and thanks for the initial feedback.  I am excited to try this older style truck.

I don't think anyone expected International to be the first brand with three trucks in ATS.   [excited]

Maybe I am nuts, but the new International 9900i seems extremely quick so far.  I bought one and just started driving it (without a load so far).  It seems very quick to get to a cruising speed of 30-something around town.  Is my brain making this up?  Am I just too used to pulling heavy things and being slow? ;D

^ Well I did a test of the new International Eagle.  My route started in Coos Bay, Oregon and ended in Spokane, Washington.  It allowed me to test the truck on steep mountain hills and tight twisty coastal roads.  It also allowed for optimal freeway cruising.  I toweled and oversized load that weighed 98,000lb!  I figured this would be a good way to test this new truck.

Pros

Quick to accelerate especially in city driving
Surprisingly agile and maneuverable
Very stable in the corners
Powerful engine at top trim level
Good low level power
Good, strong breaks.
Retro old world truck interior

Cons

Mirrors are quite wide and hard to see from easily while driving
No indication if cruise control is on, small instrument panel with no details of what you are looking at
Lower gas mileage than other trucks

Overall, I really loved this truck.  It might be one of my favorites, though it is a bit too early to say.  Overall, besides a few of the cons, this is an extremely capable and maneuverable truck.

Look on my setup ;D. If I hadn’t a 21:9 monitor, I’ll just use the cheaters mirrors, like I did on Mack. But 9900’s mirrors look too good to hide them.

BTW, I just noticed how many wheels are outside — again, the old MLP:FiM meme comes into my head ;D.

I still hope they will eventually upgrade the Route Advisor with CC indicator — it’s a very useful option, even some modern European truck require to switch the dashboard display to «cruise control only» mode ::|.

I love the old style American gauges in this truck!  It gives me the impression of driving a classic American truck from the 70s to the 80s!  Such a cool interior and those gauges look awesome when lit up at night!  I love this truck so far, but have the same cons as others  I have to use the 'fake' mirrors in the options for my right side.  I wish there was a light or icon to say when cruise control was on too.

It might be because it's new, but it feels like the truck is quick as others have said.  I love that MASSIVE fuel tank.  I can drive for days without having to fill up!

Love this pic.

Were there another reaction before? ;D
Well, maybe Volvo was not received very well due to some initial errors ::|.

True, true.  We're all pretty grateful for anything they give.

This might be an issue I noticed and purely on my end, but the headlights on the new truck sometimes appeared pixelated when using the camera. The edges were not rounded and looked jagged.  This was only sometimes, not all the time.

I think everything with the chromed frame may have not perfect outline sometimes.
Also, I remember that ProStar Eagle from early 2010s has white dials as well, but only the numbers glow in the dark:

and 9900i from the game always keeps the dials white. I wonder if these two trucks have different backlight type IRL, or it’s just a limitations of a game engine? :-\

On the forums, people are saying the audio for this truck isn't working on the Mac and Linux versions of the game.  Playing on Mac, I have all the sounds working.  So I am not sure what's going on.  Hopefully whatever it is, it is fixed.

As @Silverwing likes to do, I dangerously looked at more comments in the blog post and the ETS2 forums, and people are livid.  Angry, mad, furious, unhappy.  They are claiming again ATS gets all the love and attention, and that SCS hates them, and that SCS isn't making new trucks for ETS2, and blah, blah, blah.  If you don't want to get upset, don't go to the ETS2 forum...

...and today’s post is not about ETS, again ;D
To Redding, if more specific. I like they say that some new industries will be added — more companies, fewer empty runs from hired drivers ;D.
