Well, patch 1.41 has changed only the roads around Redding and didn’t touch the city itself.

Also, there was a rescale from 1:35 to 1:20 in patch 1.5 and adding one more road in patch 1.35, so, this part of the map will be changed for the fourth time.

Hmm... 4th time in patch 1.44... Some kind of numerology is present here... ;D

I was going to say 4 times.  Maybe 5 if you count the roads and businesses around Redding that they altered, but not within the city itself.

That were changes from 1.35 ;D, so there are four with the next patch.
Well, if you count the rebuild of one interchange near Redding, there will be five.

Someday in the near term future.

SCS: 18th Redo of Redding!!!

;D

----------

I think we can all agree that ever since they redid I-5 from Sac to the Oregon border, it's much better.  I remember in the past it just seems fine, but it was super long and straight (like in real life) but so less detailed.  The best additions came north of Redding when they added the lakes and the curves of the mountain pass. (Originally there was no lakes or no mountain pass!!!) Maybe with this next redo of Redding, we will FINALLY get a garage up there!!! I have wanted a garage in Redding since day one! (And i don't even know why!!!) lol  [excited]

I usually drive a new truck around 10,000 miles before I switch to another.
Well, till this Monday I already had 6300+ miles, and I don’t have any desire to switch to other truck ;D. Took several quick jobs with Mack to compare how far away from the doors the mirrors are, and yes, 9900i is a new champion without a doubt ;D.
Also, I made several rides from and to California with a single 53' dryvan and then relocated to Colorado, where I can take the maximum length trailer ;D.

Maybe with this next redo of Redding, we will FINALLY get a garage up there!!! I have wanted a garage in Redding since day one! (And i don't even know why!!!) lol
I wanted to write something like «hey, they won’t add more because California still has the biggest amount of garages», but then I rechecked and realized that much smaller Colorado has 8, California — only 7, and the most popular number is 5. So... yes, they must correct this and make California’s number of garages the biggest... again! ;D
Also, I didn’t know about ATS since day one (tried this game more than half of a year later), so I was lucky to miss this game’s dork age with smaller map scale, two states and two trucks... :))

UPD:
OK, I see due to delay of you-know-what DLC  we have more posts about ATS (and more whining in the ETS-only community ::|).

I'm telling ya all and Timmy here provides more evidence, that 9900i Eagle is the best new truck in the game, despite it being the oldest truck in the game!  It's a work horse!

So without ignoring the new sugar beets...

What do we think SCS is planning for the next area of development in ETS2?  They will likely announce the next project after he Alps region redo release.  Doesn't mean it will be done anytime soon, but they can say we are working on.... Greece, or Ireland, or... whatever.  What region do you think they will choose to work on?

Hopefully someplace less prone to making the news... LET'S GO WITH BALKANS;D J/k..... don't.... don't hurt me.

Here are some ideas we have brought up from the past.

  • Redone Benelux region.
    Redone "Going East!" expansion.
    Redone United Kingdom
To The North Pole! (Northern Finland, Sweden, Norway)
The Balkans Croatia, Bosnia blah blah blah, etc
    Greece/Albania/North Macedonia, etc
    Belarus
Ukraine / (Maybe split into two DLCs?)
    Ireland/N. Ireland
Balearic Islands (Free Addon to Iberia/Spain DLC)
    Bus Expasion
Forget it, we're just making ETS3.

Well beets are delicious. :D  Based on how many DLC'S of Montana they've been showing, I think Montana will sneak in and be first before the Texas DLC.  That will make I-90 so much more useful to race straight across the north, than turn south towards Colorado or Wyoming.

As for the next ETS2 DLC, at this point I have no idea.  Dangerous to do any former Soviet country right now if Russia decides to start taking over all of those.  Maybe they should play it very safe and do ETS2 Iceland. ;D

The 9900i is awesome.  Seriously.  It's like the OP truck, right up there with the Western Star 49X.

I love that comment about if the version is 1.44, it should fit on 1.44 MB diskette, although due to limited size the «Long Distance» skill has disappeared.
Also, this version gives us more liberty on the bases — on both screenshots we can seemingly see two parking zones at the same time:

That is pretty cool if they actually allow us to play that.

Just a note, to @timmelon, all the images you hosted on that website called ibb are now broken and do not load.

Sorry mate.  If it makes you feel better, I did happen to save one of your truck photos, because I liked it so much. ;)  It's a sharp looking truck and trailer.
