The new depot prefabs for Hannover look a bit different on a game map — instead of having a large square with user-available areas highlited by brighter color, now you can see only the roads and loading area. So, that FCP base’s mark don’t appear bigger than usual early game depots, but actually it’s huge like new bases from Spain. Trameri or Voltison would fit several their bases on area of this size ;D.

That «ship-shipping ship» ;D bundle exists only as a separate set (so, we have two Box Liners in the list), and you can’t haul these trailers on your own one. Also, I see a «gasoline» for ETS, when its ATS counterpart is called «petrol». I always thought otherwise ;D.

As always, thanks for the info and pictures.

Seems SCS mixed there terminology there with gasoline and petrol.  Maybe it's an inside joke to them. :D

Let's be honest here, 1.45 for ETS2 is going to be overlooked pretty hard core with all that is coming to ATS in a few days.

Hannover looks great, I drove around, but.... it's just Hannover.  I don't mean that negatively.  I know it takes a to not work to do this.  But compared to all the stuff coming to ATS, it's so tiny.  On a positive note, once all the cities in Germany are to the same level of quality as Hannover, there will be no avoidance to going to this part of the map! So that's good.

I look forward to seeing all of Germany's cities reworked.  It's such a 180 over the old ones.

Finally got to Cody too and it is flipping neat!  I love that new road.  It varies so much.

Well, even when some cities look like just in the first version of the game, all the large highways were completely redone, so current German map is not as unfriendly as pre-rework one, with its one-lane interchanges and wavy highways near Rostock and Magdeburg.

Even I remember all the roads in Germany have very sharp off-ramps with the blue sign that reads Ausfahrt. ;D

There were roughly three interchange types in the old game. ;D  T shaped, U shapes, and exits on both sides.  We've come a long ways.

What are features people would like to see implemented into the game? (Not including new trucks and map DLCs or trailers)  I am talking about features that can be added to the game to make it better, or maybe quality of life features.

I know I've said it before but it would be neat to have some basic garage modification.  Even if it's just choosing a design for the building from "modern" to "classic" or whatever else.  Just some basic modification for the buildings style would be cool.  Going deeper, if you can purchase certain upgrades to your garage or change what is inside it would be cool too.  Maybe be able to buy a repair shop to repair stuff on on your truck for cheaper... maybe you have to hire a mechanic?  Maybe you can purchase a gas station to fill up your trucks (and it would come with a monthly fee maybe?)

Another is seasons and weather.  I think having more accurate weather to the places we drive to would be a nice change.  More varied weather such as fog or wind with the sound.  I'm not even asking the wind to alter our handling. Long term, seasons would be awesome.  Seeing the forests change their leaves and having the possibility of snow in areas, or more rain in fall and winter.  It would be neat to see.

I can say it’s pretty weird when the gas station (which must require some permission due to fire safety rules) appears when you upgrade your garage, but the mechanic shop (some rules are present, but not as hard) don’t ::|. Even the garage interior suggests it has more uses beyond only parking and sleeping.
— yes, Caterpillar engine in Europe ;D.
Again, it reminds me Hard Truck 2, when you can deliver fuel (which can easily explode in this game) from the start of your career, but can’t hire drivers anytime you want — for doing it, you must win licenses (which expire in several minutes) in a race with cargo or on a circuit. Also, the die-hard fans of this game often trash *TS for unability to meet the hired worker on a road (in HT2, the hired drivers are marked by the company logo on their trucks). I think even if it can be done, it must be a pretty rare event in *TS due to sizes of their maps, especially compared with HT2.

I... think... the repair shop in your garage can be the one of the easiest things for developing. Much easier than adding new weather modes (like fog without a rain) or making the seasons change. But something holds the developers from doing it. Maybe, they forgot that not every garage have a nearest service station as close as one in Farmington or Istanbul ;D.
As for falling leaves... All the new trees make a noticeable FPS drop, if you are in the dense forest. Imagine what will happen if every leaf will have its own life .

Yes to everything you pointed out. Haha.  I know the reason they don't do seasons... they would have to replay EVERY SINGLE tree that has color changing leaves.  That would be a lot of effort and time.  Weather can be easier to change, but the easiest thing would be have more skyboxes!  More of them!! Not just 8.

It wouldn't take much effort to do some of the garage shop changes.

I would love all the additions you mentioned Rainy.

Another super easy and simply change.... when creating your profile, allow for either a Male or Female choice.  If you choose male you get the male driver.  If you choose female, you get a female driver.

No matter what, it's always a male driver now.

That seems pretty easy.

Doesn’t our game have this option now?
