So at the beginning of the year, I had way more hours driven on ETS2 over ATS.  Two years ago my ETS2 was almost 200hrs over ATS.

Today I am now over 250hrs ahead in ATS over ETS2.  How did that happen?!  lol

That is what happens when one game had the majority of new content. ;D

I wish the game could have more traffic in cities sometimes.  They seem to open.
The folder with your user settings and backup files (usually created in «Documents»)

contains the file named «config.cfg», which has the string with parameter «uset g_traffic "1.0"». You can set bigger numbers (up to 10.0) to increase the traffic density, but keep in mind that with too big values you may wait a lot at every intersection (and RR crossings!), also, with more dense traffic you will see more traffic accidents in tight places (AI in these games is pretty good, but not perfect), and this may slow you down even more.

Thank you.  I will probably leave it alone because I am afraid of messing something up with the game. ;D

If you like interchanges and massive, wide freeways, Texas is gonna be the state for that.  Houston and Dallas are infamous for their massive and wide freeways.  (Speaking of which, it will be so cool when LA is reworked using modern design practices by SCS).  Look at all the lanes in image 21!  :o

There appears to be a new AI pickup in image 6 that is two tone in color of red and white.  Looks like an older pickup. It can be seen in image 7 too.

SCS really needs to update their Dodge Charger in the game.  It's so outdated and they keep putting new police car liveries on a car that hasn't been sold since 2013.  lol.  Image 11 shows what I am talking about.

Image 12 is just cool.

Our first look in detail of Houston's skyline in image 13.  From this angle, it looks like the current generic skyline we have for Los Angeles. :P Dallas's skyline is much better view in image 23.

The clouds in image 14 are cool.  It looks like their are clouds in the forefront of the skybox.  That would be so cool to have that depth in the sky, but alas, I think it is still just a skybox.

I may be wrong, but image 24 might be Corpus Christi.

Possibly a new gas station called "Fushion" in image 27... electric charging stations?

How many Texas stars can you find in today's blog post?  lol

Eastern German TAKRAF and Hungarian GANZ supplied the whole Eastern Bloc ;D.

I learned something today.  Not sure how it will be useful in my life, but I still learned something.  [excited]

Also some new train cars on image twenty.  There is a new bus as well now that we've firmly moved away from the "West Coast Tours" buses in the game. ;D  Also note that several of the photos have new truck trailers and loads.

In the future when we have more Gulf Coast states, how much you wanna bet there will be a trucking event to bring relief supplies after a hurricane hits a specific area?

Ooh, another category of trailers is going to be be reworked and re-introduced as buyable! The freshly added fuel tankers have been extensively used by me due to the high-profitable cargoes, so I expect the income from acids and other chemicals will enrich me as well ;D. Also, as a completion of the tank trailers family, I would like to see the ownable gas tank in the future. I tell you what, I love the existing «sausage with wheels» for its smooth simplistic design, so its ownable version would be good to deliver you-know-what to the towns of Texas.

It seems to be very likely, also, knowing SCS’s approach, that event can go along with reworking of the damaged area, like it was with Big Sur and Genoa Bridge several years ago.

P.S. Hmmm... Speaking about Texas... What do you think, if there will be no new ATS trucks before the release of this map expansion, what truck will be the best for exploring the new roads? One of three classic trucks or the truck named after the Lone Star State? ;D

There is a truck called the LoneStar by International but I don't see them doing that.
I think they will use the new Western Star as the cover truck.

Though it would also make sense to use Peterbilt's since some are built in Texas and historically they are from Texas.  Then PACCAR from Washington bought them out, but they still allowed Peterbilt to have a headquarters in Denton, Texas. I just think it would be nice if they updated some of the Peterbilt and Kenworth products in the game.  It wouldn't require complete rebuilds of the truck, just modifications. There are also new Peterbilt models not in the game such as the classically designed 289X (What it it with X in the name now?  Is this spreading beyond Western Star?) plus the new generation 579, including an electric version of the 579 known as the 579EV.

Well, that Peterbilt 389X can be made as a tuning pack, just like Renault T Evolution. And, the official site says that today fully digital dashboard is available for normal 389 as well.

That seems like it would be easier then starting from the ground up.

That International Lonestar is seriously one of the most unappealing trucks I've ever seen. :P  lol.  I've seen them on the highway in-person like twice since I started playing this game.  I don't think they are a very popular choice.  Time for them to make a new truck, new design!  Keep the name though, I like the name,

It is an acquired taste for the LoneStar  for sure... I see them occasionally but they are not a common purchase among private truckers and even less so in commercial fleets.  I have seen them used more as commercial heavy duty tow trucks, mainly used to tow other semi trucks or heavy equipment.  I'm gonna see if I can find truck sales numbers, but I think it's mostly kept private by the companies themselves.  From what I see in my section of the USA, Freightliner dominates fleets, and private truckers buy Kenworth and Peterbilt's the most.  I see International's with fleets too, but not as much.  Volvo has a good presence.  Western Star and Mack are seen the least, but I see them more at job-sites and not vocational highway driving.  Their trucks tend to be heavy-duty dump trucks that stay on site or move rocks and dirt around sites.

Here are a few LoneStar pics in person.  Some angles look weirder than others. ;D

Note the highway sign in the background, on the upper left is a business called "Lone Star" with a LoneStar in the foreground.  I found that kinda funny.  Cool load they are carrying.

It seems at least one NASCAR team uses a LoneStar as their car and equipment hauler!  I thought this was cool because we get to see a unique scheme with matte black paint where there would usually be chrome or body color paint.  Very vibrant and cool racing team truck!

Here is a LoneStar in a handsome two tone.  I think these are meant to be luxurious for private truckers who really throw on all the options.  I am sure inside they are spacious.  It certainly makes a statement compared to the Peterbilt in the background behind it.

I don't see them too much here in Colorado and Wyoming.  It's a highway truck for sure, but I mostly see Kenworth's, Pete's, Freightliner's, and Volvo's.

And let me just say, it is a great time to drive the Million Dollar Highway in autumn!  Slap on a autumn mod for ATS and drive that route again!  You'll love it.  Well... here it is in real life just the other day! :D  <<<V>>>

Well, transpotring of diesel or gasoline has its advantage in having the double and triple trailers ;D.

I also just find it kind of funny we are using diesel to transport diesel. ;D

And what about log trailers combined with fuel tanks?

You transport diesel to a forest and return with logs ;D.
