The base DLC was $17.99 USD for Texas.  But I got a bundle which knocked off about 20% and it came with two paint job packs I wouldn't have bought anyways and it equaled out to $18.87 with tax included.  Not bad for a massive state like this!

Yeah, I am okay with this.  Still under $20 dollars for all this.  Some full games cost more and don't even give you this much to do!  Happy to support them.

One of many new businesses.  I am surprised it took them till now to make a McDonald's parody... and even more shocking, it's not RED!!!  Instead of the golden arches, we have green!  Or is this a Subway parody?  Same colors.  What does this place even sell?

I have been driving around Texas and thinking so many places look dingy and colorless, then I realized... there is no green grass!  It's mostly dry and arid in west Texas!  Lol!

All I can say, is that is a very dull and sad looking restaurant.  It's got ZERO life to it.  I think that is Fort Stockton in your photo?? ... which in itself is a very dull and drab place, lol. I think this is the same spot in real life as the image you posted above.

Fort Stockton is a miserable town in the middle of the Texas desert and it has absolutely NOTHING going for it.  Most of the people want to move our, and you are far away from everything.  Much of the town is abandoned and closed up.  No jobs, people move to more industrious parts of the state.  The geography doesn't allow even for basic farming... it's just... hard, pack, dirt.

I decided to start observing from the greener part ;D. This place is pleasant not only for your eyes, but for the ears as well — you may want to drive here using the outer camera or with opened windows, listening all the birds from there.

Maybe I didn’t pay attention to the birds before, but between Wichita Falls and Dallas it’s hard not to be distracted by them — singles and groups of low-flying birds are everywhere! Just like wind turbines, they don’t freeze when you are in the photo mode, and continue to move their wings ;D.

The Dallas skyline is one of photo trophies in the new gallery menu. It’s really worth to be called a trophy ;D.

The amount of new content in Galveston makes me fangirling again ;D. First of all, I love the look of this port and surrounding settlement. Also, the ferry is completely new — instead of one big vessel, there is a bunch of smaller ones. The length of a route is so small so the ticket price reduced to zero :-0. I think this generous offer may end after one of the next patches.

That’s what I call the big railroad crossing!

Another photo trophy made me drive additional miles while making a delivery to McAllen. It must be one of the trophiest trophies 8).

I haven't driven to Dallas yet, but I hope they did a good job on it's skyline!  Houston's looks awesome.  Also I love that ferry boat for Galveston!  That looks awesome!!!! I love the seaport industries in this game and I wish they could improve the older docks more.  They've just improved so much since then.

Great photos, Tim!!

Holy moly.  Some of these freeway interchanges in Texas are extremely dense and elaborate!  :o

More angular shapes on the map make Texan interchanges very distinctive ;D.
Also, there are more divided parts of freeways, so it becomes harder to find the part where both directions are discovered when you drive on them.

Notice the new company with a horse head in its logo ;D. Spain already had something similar.

I am not liking the Texas interchanges.  The absolute WORST so far has been Laredo.  What a mess of a city, lol!  Granted I have been saving going to the big cities of Dallas, Houston, Fort Worth, and San Antonio till later.  I am sort of working around that in my WoT event, lol.

Everything feels so far between locations, which is crazy because it doesn't look like it on the map.  But the open expanses seem very large.  It is a very impressive DLC so far and I am really enjoying it.  SCS has mastered the suburban sprawl and ugly roads or businesses and signs that appear all over Texas, lol!  Texas really does seem to have their own unique way to do interchanges and freeways.  The density of them is really amazing.

It is not a McDonald's knockoff.  We still don't have one!  I zoomed into one of the restaurants and it's a "natural and organic" foods restaurant. You can also see a bar through the window.  So it might be sort of a healthy alternative fast food restaurant of wraps and freshly made food like a Panera Bread or Chipotle.

Since there are not so much time left till the end of this year, I think my next deliveries outside of Texas will be made next year ;).
This state has lots and lots of roads to explore ;D.

There is SOOOO much.  I feel like I've been driving a ton, and I've really only been in a small area so far.  I've only seen 6 labeled locations! :o  Lol!

There are so many new companies!  All the companies we got used too in the west have faded away.  I haven't seen an HMS Machinery yet! :O  Some companies like the Lone Star Forwarding one, I wonder if it will only exist in Texas... given it's name.

I also noticed there is a new railroad company in Texas.  A competitor to the Union Pacific parody company.  I think the new one is a parody of Kansas City Southern.

So there are three parody freight railroad companies in ATS now.  A BNSF one, Union Pacific, and Kansas City Souther (maybe).  I am impressed SCS cared enough about railroads to do this and actually have them represented in the right areas.

If short, the new DLC is a different country ;D.
Railroads are the vital part of country’s life. Missing them is a crime C:-).

UPD: So, the collecting of skylines is still on ;D.

But, not all of these locations are named as trophies in the game. For El Paso, this honor belong to the University.

And here somebody seemingly helps people to cross Mexican border ;D.

What I don’t like in the fresh update of the photo mode — the FOV adjusting has been removed, and it’s usually set at the maximum. Outside of photo mode, this blimp is much closer to the road.
I like some small details introduced in the new map — the super simple pictogram for new checkpoints or these cute little teepees... or whatever it is at the truckstop. Also, I see there is a new example of good fake brand nameLifter sounds much less odd than Frog and fits the crane very well, just like fake Carrier refrigerator units which are named Cooler.
